It's so important to let children play in the dirt, especially during gardening season . Planting seeds and having parents explain to them what they are doing goes a long way in educating children about where food comes from. They get to watch a plant grow from something they planted themselves, very special. The girls are fortunate to have a Mom and Dad who have the patience to explain things and to allow them to get dirty and experience new things. Truly, there are toddlers everywhere in North America who are given their breakfast then plopped in front of the TV screen or computer screen or even the parents phone screen to amuse themselves. Walt reminds me so much of my father. Had a hilarious time growing up with him. I'm 79 so it might not be too much longer before I can play around with him again. I see Ana and Guin already know they have a special dad...and mom too!
July 15th I'm having an extremely complicated and dangerous surgery, 6 week hospital stay if it works out. I do the same, I just feel it's okay if I go because I can be with my heavenly father and I just really want a hug from my dad and hang out with him. Thy Will be Done.
I’m 79 too! But hopefully I won’t be dying anytime soon!lolol.. Being a retired hospice nurse,I’ve stood by many beds helping others to say goodbye! But,I’d like to stick around a little longer!😊

Watching Ana backing away and saying 'I don't WANT any dirt', but then believing mom that it's okay by grabbing a small handful and gently putting it in the tray, contrasts with Guin's 'freestyle' way, which is reaching into the bag for the dirt, flinging it towards the tray, and saying to mom 'I WANT to throw it in'. Certainly exemplifes Dad's "So, some people ask - Are they alike?" and his qualfying answer as he laughs. "No. No. Not at all." I think their differences are an integral part of their charm, but are what will always keep mom and dad on their toes. 'What one doesn't think of .........' I've noticed that about Anna. I've watched her dad do something and she picks it up very quickly almost instinctively. Guin is the jokester, but knows when she's crossed the line and apologizes without being prompted. Loved the "falling down" game. Can't wait to see their reaction to the seedlings growing.
Today’s mantra is “nice and easy”! This reminds me of when I taught Sunday school and for Mother’s Day I would buy plants for the kids to plant and take home for their moms. They got to decorate the planter, put dirt in and plant. So much fun! Enjoy your planting! 🌺🌸❤️❤️❤️❤️

Children would be able to be children, teenagers would have more respect, and you g adults would be raising their own children, instead of grandparents raising them. He’s a cutie…..he makes Alicia giggle a lot. He tried to sing a spice girl song the other day but Ana shut him down. It was funny. They will always adore him even when they’re teens and claim he embarrasses them.

If this doesn't work, try planting them directly into the ground. Sunflowers don't always like to be transplanted. I adore their style filling the seedling trays! 😂
My boys and I always planted seeds from the time they were 2 and a little younger.. Our garden was and still is very large.They never threw the dirt! And now that they're older they all have very large gardens...

Girls should have each had their own pot and planted seeds in the pot. Much better to plant seeds directly in the soil. They will germinate faster. I watch finches and other birds feeding off my sunflowers into the fall.

Search the web on how to make a sunflower house. Plant the sunflowers in a circle leaving room for an entrance. When the flowers get tall, lace them at the tops with twine for a roof. It makes a sweet little fairy house for littles. My daughter loved hers! 😊 Good parents to teach the girls about nature!

I'm watching them so gentle. I know dada is filming but mama might have a hard time watching all the cups at the same time. I had an idea to maybe put a toothpick or pebble in each cup after the dirt. Then move it and replace it with the seeds. Then each cup gets one. 😊

So glad they love butterflies 🦋. I suggest purchasing a butterfly bush for each of the girls so they can learn to count how many butterflies land on their plant. They come in pink & purple.

Search the web on how to make a sunflower house. Plant the sunflowers in a circle leaving room for an entrance. When the flowers get tall, lace them at the tops with twine for a roof. It makes a sweet little fairy house for littles. My daughter loved hers! 😊 Good parents to teach the girls about nature!

@@auapplemac2441Alicia did tell her to tell Dada that she was sorry. I think it is awesome how they do what Mom and Dad say and how well-behaved they are. Sometimes it's hard to remember that they are only 2 years old. Mom and Dad do a amazing job and they are an amazing family. 😊

I'm watching them so gentle. I know dada is filming but mama might have a hard time watching all the cups at the same time. I had an idea to maybe put a toothpick or pebble in each cup after the dirt. Then move it and replace it with the seeds. Then each cup gets one. 😊
That moght have been a good idea but the little ones should not be anywhere near a pointed toothpick for now 😊 imo

I remember planting sunflower seeds with my parents . Good job to both parents for giving them a garden mantra Nice and Easy ! I cannot wait to see what comes up out of the soil. So glad they love butterflies 🦋. I suggest purchasing a butterfly bush for each of the girls so they can learn to count how many butterflies land on their plant. They come in pink & purple.

Anna's little chubby cheeks get me every time. I loved them playing fall down, good game when they start learning skating and other balancing sports. Takes the fear out of falling. Good job babies!
