I FLEW PORTER'S INAUGURAL E195-E2 FLIGHT TO MONTREAL

Porter did an OUTSTANDING Job on these new E2 jets, I had such a good experience, I will say PorterReserve (Premium) on these shorter routes seem very pointless, I do look forward to trying it on longer route and seeing the difference.

What a great adventure - an inaugural flight. A real (and rare) treat. Well done, Mark. I really hope Porter makes a success of their expansion. We definitely need more airline competition in Canada (for all the reasons we know). Fingers crossed we'll see Porter in Kelowna (YLW) one day. Thumbs up!

Also on that flight. Now I have a video record of this inaugural. Also did YVR inaugural last week. Porter has a lot to work out with the cabin service though. Clearly you did not notice they never got past row 24 in the drinks service on all four of my flights that day…YUL back to YYZ, then YOW return ($1 fares working out to $96 each with fees/taxes).

Yes, but we should give them time for improvement since it's their first time operating out of the jet. It will be much improving next six months or so as they still receive feedback for their services.

Porter reserve was a nice experience for me, but porter regular? was the worst, they ran out of overhead cabins and i had to put my bag underneath the seat on front for the longer flight, oof! not fun not having leg space 😅

It is an OK aircraft for short haul flights, 2 hrs or less, but the seats are too small for any longer than 2 hrs, not nearly as good as the Bombardier/ A220 airbus

Brand new airplane...cool...must be smelling brand-new yet...it looks much nicer than A320, sound alike same engines..but as a Brazilian I prefer the A220 designs...also interior finishing looks much better

What was your fare, or did they give you a free ticket? Do you still work for Air Inuit at YUL? I guess you can get the usual industry discounts on other airlines. You should have demonstrated the legroom in the standard 30-inch pitch rows where most passengers will be sitting. Looked like plenty of empty seats and I wonder how many were on it only because it was the inaugural. With only 4 flights a day Porter will have trouble convincing AC frequent flyers to switch.

Ticket was 296$, I bought it as a normal full fare ticket. I no longer work at air Inuit. I wanted to but the flight was quite full and considering how short it was I didn’t have the time. Maybe next time!

They should, but do they want to wait a few years to receive their first a220 and ten years to receive all 50 a220? With Embraer, they can receive 50 jets within 24 months.
