I bought this as soon as it was available. I love the color story! I know many wanted the greens but I like this one. I saw ND on a live Instagram and she said she's not done with the retro palettes that there's more to come. I look forward to that one as well. Love your look!❤

I like her looks too but I don’t think they were anything special. For the cost of that palette the shimmers didn’t look all that special in my opinion. But she looks pretty in any look she does.
I’m so excited to hear she’s coming out with another retro palette! I think most everyone was a bit disappointed this was supposed to be the retro. While it’s a beautiful palette (like Mandy said, this was my vision for the Love palette), we wanted more of those grungy greens!
Same here Rebekah! I have a revolution palette that has the same type of colors but when I see what Mandy has done with this palette, it makes me want it 🤣
I’d love to see swatch comparisons to the Colourpop palettes. At first glance, the cooler toned shadows from this palette remind me of my favorite Wet n Wild quad/quint, Petalette. I love the light purple shimmer and the plummy color from that quad and always look for similar shades when I buy better quality single shadows.
I swatched the two CP palettes Mandy mentioned on Friday, and threw in two shades from the CP Taupe palette to dupe the Jude and Opart shades. Almost shade to shade dupes for every color.
Valid point about CP but the quality is way different. My CP palettes from last year have lost so much pigment and crumbly. My Nd is still on point. Love your videos.
I actually decluttered my CP palettes that had similar colors as soon as I got my retro in bc of that! I'd rather have them in the better formula. However, if I couldn't afford or didn't want to spend the money on the ND one I would happily take the CP as an alternative. Another CP that reminded me of it was the menage a muah
Also: Mel Thompson did a GREAT video 4 months ago where she used Sydney Grace shadow singles to make her interpretation of what a retro palette based off the mini would look like! It's beautiful, UNIQUE, and though it may be more expensive, I'll be recreating her version for what a "retro" palette should be. I am still looking forward to what ND comes out with for a green retro palette.

You apply your eyeshadows in a simply gorgeous way that they are not too much yet are stunning. ND has hinted that she's planning on bringing out a green palette, so there might be something in the next 12 months. :) I might pick this one up in the future, but until then I have plenty of shades like this one.
Two beautiful eye looks! This is supposed to be the retro version of the Glam palette. She said in her IG live that there's more to come in the retro line. I'm allergic to the Colourpop formula, and the quality is no rival to ND in my opinion. However, I do probably have most of the shades in my Sydney Grace collection. 🙂 Still excited about receiving my Retro palette tomorrow.
I would love to see the CP swatch comparison as I have both I love the making mauves platte but I think I will wait for the green ND palette as I love green colour on the eye it would be awesome to see what she puts out.
Originally I was disappointed in the color story thinking of what I had wished it had been… like the mini. Seeing it for what it IS however makes me appreciate it. It’s beautiful, subtle and a fresh Natasha Denona take on berries for the fall. I just love the midi size. I’ll never, and let’s face it, most of us makeup lovers won’t ever hit pan in our palettes, so I appreciate the lower price point with similar number of shades.
I adore these dusty rose matte shades so very much. I immediately did my eye makeup when i opened my package with this palette hahaha. I got the bundle with the glam palette so I'll be trying that soon. I don't wear a ton of neutral looks but it's nice to have them for sexy classy looks and both the palettes fit in that category lol
I think it would have been way more unique if it looked more like the mini retro - I don’t have those shades multiple times in my collection. This one looks like so many others, 1000x over. $65 saved!

I don't know if it's been stated in the comments already, but, the Mauves palette from Profusion is very similar to this and is five bucks. May not be the exact same quality, (although the quality is very, very good, great pigmentation), but, if someone wanted the looks without dropping the bucks, it's an option.
I am also obsessed with blush pink (with hidden shimmer, of course 😍) I call it Mary Kay pink. I've even considered painting my car, lol! And the funny part is that I'm pretty sure I've never even seen Mary Kay make-up 🤷🏽♀️😁

The layout of this palette is really pleasing and well done. The issue I have is the photography is so misleading. It looks way more cool toned in photos than it does on video. Many of the shades lean more red/warm violet. I feel like this is years behind as it reminds me of the sunset/dusk/berry toned palettes that came out around late 2017-early 2018.

So I absolutely was going to purchase this palette, because I bought a Love palette that had a couple bad shades that where patchy and would migrate. I actually through two shades out from the palette don't know if there are other bad shades, because i haven't used the palette since. Your first eye look is amazing! I want to want this palette so badly. If it were a little deeper, like the promo/website photos, I would totally jump on it! "groove", "rebellion" and "swing" are too red for me. Love the looks! Incredible with your first look you predicted the new mini rose palette Natasha Denona just made! And you predicted as well the retro glam palette she made similar to the mini retro! Wow! Only think I do really not agree is to compare the terrible quality shades of color pop to the amazing formula shades of any Natasha Denona palette. When I tried color pop it went directly in the trash can. Maybe in a 20 years old girl anything could be ok , but after 30s if the make up is not an excellent quality is better nothing because bad quality shows any lines. That’s why almost no one can compare with Natasha Denona. Maybe Mark Jacobs is the closest.. Anyways congratulations on your channel is really great and very inspiring.

And the shades nude mauve, helio (haha not Hello) and another one come from her Lila palette wich I also have. Time to pull that one out as well

I have the making mauves. And this was the first ND palette I purchased. There is NO on test with the quality. ND was definitely worth the $$
The mini retro and mini zendo palettes are my Christmas list for myself, or maybe some singles from nd

Those deeper berry shades remind me of modern renaissance
Some of the shades in both the Love and Retro could also double as blush, especially the pink, reddish or berry shades. It’s added value.
