Great content lately dude.
That entrance was incredible. The wrestlers in the old days had a connection with the audience that the wrestlers today can never have because they are more focused on getting their super flip ranas in.
Back then wrestlers made money from the gates and selling merch. Now they have guaranteed contracts with a minimum and incentives.
My friend and I watched this angle live on channel 44. We looked at each other, got up, proceeded to the car and drove to Lakeland.
The Lakeland match was an insane brawl. Of note, “Bad to the Bone” was played throughout the match and added an amazing aura. Maybe the first time pre Gangstas ECW?
I did not realize how much of his gimmick that Hogan borrowed from him.
Dusty,Flair,Hogan,Jessy the body Ventura,Lex Luger are just a small example of those that have lifted aspects of his personna, and some even equaled the charisma and electricity that was The Superstar may he rest in peace
An invigorating sight indeed; Solie was a master. Side note - CWF had to be the bloodiest studio show by far lol
Sullivan's devil gimmick was great.
Superstar was colorful.
Was he near the end of his in ring career during this time?
Yes. He finished his in ring career in late 1987 in the WWF.
Unlike Hogan Billy came across as more genuine.
What month did Graham leave Crockett in 86? He was back in the WWF by September.
