My locs have been beautiful the entire time. Loving yourself and being able to see your own beauty regardless of your outer appearance is important. I was natural and big chopped, so my self-awareness and self-esteem were already there.

I recently had my traditional small locs for 18 years. I now have started my SisterLock stage with 3 inches of new growth. It’s definitely an adjustment, but I’m loving this stage✨

“Ugly Stage”…I use to say that all the time or called ppl hair “Messy”…Anywho I myself had to accept that phase bcuz of my UPBRINGING 🤦🏾♀️ our hair was always neat and told “be neat in appearance you’re representing not only you but my parents as well” that was my stigma 🤷🏾♀️.
I wanted LOCS so bad bcuz I hated combing my hair take all DAY 🤦🏾♀️ I was going to cut all my thick, long, curly hair off too much work on wash day 😢.
Now that I’ve been LOC for a year my journey was beautiful and ACCEPTED the loose/frizzy hair and puffy roots 😊. I was relieved to walk PROUD without hesitation couldn’t care less about who didn’t like it. I stopped being conceded about my hair being prefect etc., it’s a beautiful journey watching my shedded hair intertwine into a beautiful LOC 🥹🤗.
Im 60yrs old this is my finale until GOD calls me home to rest 💫✨🙏🏾~Amen

Wow! Who's the influencer???? I backed all the way off Knotted Locs....there's something there that my spirit does not agree with. 🤷🏾♀️
