The Cub originally had a metal tube with a rubber section on each end. My Cub didn’t have it so I got one from Steiner. Also, I’m replacing my carburetor today with a Chinese one also. For all the naysayers, I never heard him say he was junking the original one. The tractor is running until it gets done!
Great video! you seem really knowledgeable. could you make a video on how to adjust the governor? I just replaced my carb too and having a hell of a time with my governor I think. the throttle linkage isn't really responding as it should etc. seemed fine before I replaced the carb. seems like you kno what you're doing. and there are no videos yet on how to adjust the governor with the linkage problems. a video like that would probanly get a lot of hits since a lot of people replace their carbs. thanks for you video!
Hows it been running since you installed the new carb? I just picked up a 49 cub i was told ran but the carb was stolen off of it , do you still have the sellers name you got the carb from ?
Not sure if you're interested in working on one put I was told when I got it that it needs a new clutch. Which means you have to split it. I'm in hancock county. Not sure where you are in indiana but I was wondering if it's something you be interested in doing
There should not be, but if yours has one, something may be worn out on your governor. I have seen other farmalls with a return spring on the throttle for that reason.
The Cub sounds great with the new carb , nice work !
A day late (or several years?) but thanks for the video. I hear mixed responses on the Asian carbs, glad you had a good result.

Ryan Racine I am glad the video helped, but grandpa sold that tractor. No more Farmall videos on the horizon.
Ty for the ebay tutorial

It ran great. It was sold a few months after this video. Ebay has alot of good sellers for these knock off carbs.
Nice job. Thanks.
nice job good work
I just aquired a cub tractor. Needing some help with it.
I’ve got a playlist for a Cub tractor. Check it out. Maybe there’s a video or two on there that can help you.

I’ve got projects stacked up already. I wish I had time.
where the governor linkage hooks to the carb , is there a spring on that ?

What year cub is that?
1949
Can I have your old one
The old one got tossed in a box and sold at auction a couple years ago.
