R1280 are awesome, got the advise to b uy them here some time ago from Andy I think, been a while,. Nice to see mat the new addition looking at this. you look like my mate btw, but he is from scotland, so the accent differences are funny
I have the originals and they served me well for a long time. The only thing that I can remember annoying me was the damn app, full of marketplace storefront crap. I'm currently using the Soundcore Space a40. Which are cheaper and just as good as the neobud pro (1) - as long as you keep them permenantly in LDAC mode.
The first pro model had phenomenal sound, but after months, exhibited a problem where the sound in one of the buds becomes hollower in the high frequencies, and by searching the net, that was common, that makes me hesitant on investing on a new pair.
He heard a lot of good things about Edifier. See they sell a lot on Amazon and reviews seem positive overall. The pricing on these seems great. Compared to many competitors.
Q: You mentioned the sound glitches while using the computer. So they are not recommended for use on a computer? I would like to purchase them for normal computer use, such as listening to videos, music, work needs, etc. - not gaming.
@@lucifersheadscarf6988 As far am I'm aware and in my testing I couldn't get it to work. iPhone doesn't support LDAC or LHDC so the option to change the playback quality within the Edifier app is greyed out. There may be other ways to get around this, using a DAC etc but with just an iPhone and the NeoBuds Pro 2 I don't think it's possible
Are people really saying these are overpriced ? For the tech can’t see you getting much better on today’s market. Pretty solid review mat. Not sure about that dancing malarkey mind you. 😂
Netflix premium has spatial audio and Apple music has it too. It may be available on other apps too. Unfortunately Spotify doesn't have it I don't think.
I think Edifier are one of the best price to performance audio companies on the market. Their high end pc speakers are next level on sound quality and the price is always great. Not budget but I don’t want budget stuff as it sounds terrible.
Mine fell as I was going in to work bounced off the curb directly into path of oncoming taxi cab , who " didn't see me" waving frantically to tell him to stop
They're definitely designed to work better with an Android phone. I tested briefly with my iPhone too and they worked well, just without the high res audio and fast pairing.
If this is anywhere near to toe-to-toe with the best earbuds then I don't need earbuds. Sound is decent but considering the price it should be better. The earbuds seem t reasonably well made but usability is lame. Out of the box, it only provides ability to answer phone or hang up. You get to have four functions. It claims that there is more functionality in the App but you cannot access the App's features unless you let the App access your location(GPS). What complete hog-wash. I will not allow the App to have my location info; Edifier will have to look elsewhere to scrape personal info. What is worse is that the product does not need location to function. It should work no matter where I am (even if I am on the moon). I returned these and will never again consider Edifier for anything.
Thanks for the review mat. Looking good. 😊
Thanks 👍🏻
Edifier are one of my favourite brands. Have a set of their 1000 speakers. Love them
my son has an older set of these from Edifier. Big fan. Only thing is he dropped one and it’s impacted the sound quality from one ear.
Quite like Edifier. Brilliant watching Mat bopping away to tunes well done for including that.
🤘🏻
Great review mat. We need Kitguru memes of you dancing. It’s hilarious
Thanks! I'm sure someone will clip some stuff and post it in discord at some point 😅
Love my r1280db. Great brand. Thanks for review mat 👌🏻
great speakers
I have the originals. They are great. Still working well.

Do people tell your mate he looks like Nick Frost as they do me?

They look to be really good value for the quality.

They're a solid choice.
Very happy s3000pro owner here. Best pc speakers i have had
They are cracking to be fair, I remember being really impressed with them when I reviewed them. -Dominic
They seem quite good.

Edifier are great. Really rate them
Thats a really good supply of eartips because I always lose mine.
Quality brand ❤
Mat's pronunciation of the word spatial is fantastic.
when did he say that ?
Spaychull audio section 👍🏻
Mat you go girl. !
Going
Will be checking these out. I use apple iPhone and AirPods always seemed very expensive to me.
Be aware that high res audio won't work with iPhone.
@@CommanderPandareally ? I can use AirPlay and Chromecast with my iPhone on tidal 24 bit 192khz

can you set noise cancelling off as default setting, everytime I open edifier app high noise cancelling is set to automatic
Do they come in different colours? Would be nice if you could get them in white, blue or pink.
They come in white too :)
The only problem with noise blocking is that it makes you a bit vulnerable while walking around in the city.
Yeah I agree. The ambient sound setting helps with that though.
Are they water resistant?
Just looking for a pair of earbuds to listen to music while on the tube.

Thank you. I dance literally when no one is watching....but then thousands of people get to watch 😂😂😂
Where can you listen to spatial audio?

budget inears are dire iagree
What happens if you lose them - can you make them make a find me sound?
Yeah you can
Its amazing how crowded the earbuds market is becoming.
I've been holding back on earbuds simply because I've been terrified they are going to fall down the back of the sofa or in someone's car.
Mine fell as I was going in to work bounced off the curb directly into path of oncoming taxi cab , who " didn't see me" waving frantically to tell him to stop
They are very cute.
These are price right up against the AirPods!
Whats the end of life for these things when the battery dies? Do they go in the bin or do they get some kind of recycling?
I'm not aware of any recycling program by Edifier but there's always local options I guess
In ears always cause my ears to block. Bet they are good though. I guess I play things too loud
They kind of look a bit complicated for me.
Think if you are already an iPhone person then maybe these would be OK. Would consider if I had an android.
They're definitely designed to work better with an Android phone. I tested briefly with my iPhone too and they worked well, just without the high res audio and fast pairing.
That angular shape looks like it's going to give me an ear ache.
A mat review. Keep shakin that as…..
😂
I’m more interested in their speakers but let’s hope they take some sales from AirPods. Which are massively overrated.
I had some pro AirPods a few years ago and they were impressive to be fair. These are just as impressive for £100 less. Love it.
Offering a set thanks for in-depth review mat. I’ll hopefully be pulling some stupid faces like to you too on the train soon.
Imagine a silent disco filled with people like us 😂😂
Overpriced. The end. Same the Apple Air pods. The profit margins must be huge on these devices.
Like how you put in ‘the end’ there. Like a dictator. No debates welcomed. Here is the law. Move on. 😂
Overpriced ? Couldn’t disagree more in today’s market !
Expensive ? lol. 😮
Cheap as chips !!
@@justindavis7600 Overpriced, you misquoted me...The profit margins on these cheap bits of plastic...
