I'm beyond excited by this, My Favorite monster wirh my Favorite Director! BTW people should really find and watch "The Cursed" (original title was Eight of Silver) which is essentially Eggers' the Witch but about a werewolf curse. It's pretty good. Very unique. Very well made with an attention to period details and characterization, etc....Similar to a Eggers movie. I found its existance by shear luck but as a werewolf fan we tend to sniff them all out so I stumbled into it and freaking glad I did.
I watched "The Cursed" for the same reason you did my friend. I really enjoyed it. Having just seen "Nosferatu" in the Cinema, I am very much looking forward to this film. Great atmosphere, visual style and sound design in his work. He seems to get strong performances out of his cast too. Fingers crossed but it has potential.
Someone should adapt Robert E. Howard's epic werewolf story WOLFSHEAD as a movie. In it he creates the intriguing idea that if you kill a werewolf a when he is a man then the werewolf curse transfers to you. You MUST kill him in his werewolf state.
I saw NOSFERATU yesterday. Loved every fucking frame of it. It was a little distracting how very much Hugh Grant Nicholas Hoult was in his speech cadence and awkward mannerisms.
I used to pray for times like this.
This looks great! The time period of 13th Century is exciting to me.
I'm here for it! yes!

@@johnmcdonagh9336 Very promising indeed!

He is doing his own off brand Universal monsterversus.
I can't trust film criticism from anyone who hasn't seen The VVitch.

Will there be ribbons of slobber? Lol
Its always too much wolf (American Werewolf in London) or too much man (Wolf man) I'd like a genuine hybrid of both.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!!!!
will this be all about the werewolf trying to get laid like Nosferatu?
I hope not.
I"m a little torn about it. I'm excited for another Robert Eggers film but in some ways It feels too conventional for him. I hope he proves me wrong.
It will 100% be better than the recent wolfman movie and the kit harrington one, I'm just dreading the possibility of werewolf wang and sex. 🤣
This sounds amazing!
Hopefully it is more original than his noseferatu
Alan liked the VVisual style…
I'm excited for the next Robert Eggers movie. Mark your calendars, guys.
_Nosferatu_ was wildly overrated.
Your opinion is wildly overrated in your own mind.
@ - no, my opinions are perfectly calibrated at all times.

😄👍👍
Nope it's going to be boring crap like Nosferboretu
All style over substance. To be frightening, it has to look real. Another snoozefest incoming.
you should watch The Witch, then. It felt pretty real.
I was hoping Eggers would be working on an original project after Nosferatu, which is good but overrated.
