It’s the opposite ending to season one. Season one the girls were all happy and there was a bomb that killed people, this season there is peace and the girls are all fighting.
My grandfather passed in October 2019, Orla's line "well everyone kept saying you have to ask a fella you really like and he's the fella I like the most," has made me cry more than once.
This episode had me cheesing so hard! Especially when James showed up for Erin, I'm so happy her mom called him. Zach had me laughing so hard with "Is she gonna kill her??" Also, Calam Lynch (the guy who left Erin waiting) probably looked familiar if you watched Bridgerton Season 2, he played Theo.
Uughh I LOVE zombie playing out the end. Cranberries are one of my fav bands and when I first started this show I knew I would love it cos of how much they used them on the soundtrack. Y’all should def look into Zombie and the music video if you haven’t already. They wrote it specifically because of the war.
I love this episode. Orla taking grandpa to the prom was the best thing. Just a fun episode! Enjoyed y’alls reactions and commentary as always. That’s Theo from Bridgerton!
Rob looked surprised when Michelle said “do they fuck” when Claire asked if people call Jenny the theme queen. In Northern Ireland and the UK, “do they fuck” or “do they hell” is the North American version of sarcastically saying “like hell they do” or “yeah right.”
This episode is a great parallel to the season 1 finale. In that one, there are bombings on the news but the girls are all happy and dancing. In this one, there is peace but the girls are fighting
the reason why the guy erin asked out to the prom looked familiar is bc he plays theo sharpp, the newspaper feminist guy eloise was friends w in bridgerton
At least the damage was limited. Erin changed out of her dress before the prom and Mae and Claire were grappling off to the side with the rope. So the only dress that can't be returned is Michelle's. Could have been a lot worse 😂
I love how this episode flips the last episode of season 1. In season 1 they were having a fun time while the world outside was at war - in this episode they were at war while the world outside had called a ceasefire.
16:25 No it isn't. It's a ceasefire from the IRA. The Troubles aren't over yet. And people have been worrying since Brexit if it's going to start again. Speaking of, when did the UDA call a ceasefire?
“Oh Drop Dead, you spiteful old hag !!!” was what Ma Mary said. The line was not even that long 😑 “Is Jenny like principal of this school?” => No, she’s prefect aka a class representative (the title is usually given to someone excelling in academia or great at administrative work) and a part of student committee. A prefect is essentially the highest title and position a student can receive. However, we know that Claire is also great at academia so there is a possibility that Jenny became a prefect due to her personality or popularity (we know that Jenny is the antagonist to the gang but she might be well-liked by other students). Jenny Joice even said that on the very first episode “part of my responsibility as a prefect is welcoming new students” and then subsequently told the gang that the students informed her about Michelle threatening one of new girls. The gang later got detention because Jenny reported the matter to Sister Michael. “She told him to meet at the prom” - great catch. I didn’t think about that, either. I thought he chickened out because of his recent break-up.
I was a teacher's pet but I wasn't as extreme as Jenny. I kept mostly to myself. (Still do) I stood up to some people bullying this other kid but that was probably the most extreme thing I did in school.

"They said to take a fella you like, and he's the fella I like the most" One of the most wholesome lines ever 🥰
Rob explaining Carrie to Zuff multiple times made me cackle lmao
Now they NEED to watch the original Carrie at some point
guess it's time for them to watch Carrie 👀

yeah that parallel it’s insane to me, so clever and so impactful
Orla and Granda Joe were so wholesome this episode 🩵
Orla bringing Granda Joe to prom gets me every time!
My grandfather passed in October 2019, Orla's line "well everyone kept saying you have to ask a fella you really like and he's the fella I like the most," has made me cry more than once.

Yeah Mae isn’t that unhinged ;)
Poor James gave up his " Doctor Who" convention for Erin. I thought that was lovely.
Theo haha, from bridgerton. Eloises fellow ey, the printer

That song playing at the end, "Zombie" by the Cranberries was written about The Troubles. Just adds an extra layer to the show

Orla and grandad joe at prom was the highlight of this Episode really wholesome
the goosebumps when the cranberries was playing>>>>>>
james' 'have you ever seen carrie?' is my favorite line og the whole show
John Paul is Theo in Bridgerton! That's why he looks familiar, Bryce .Love all the Bridgerton Derry Girls crossover. Great video ♥
You're right, Mae is played by Aoife Hynes, who played Helen in Normal People. She's also Ciaran Hynes' daughter.

Jenny’s actress in an interview said that everyone knew a Jenny Joyce ;)
I don't know why but Jenny is kinda likable. Like she does stupid shit for herself and annoys the gang. But you can't hate her. I really like her.

rob and zuff arguing about carrie and bryce just trying to watch the show 🤣
He's Theo, Eloise's love interest in Bridgerton haha
7:02 holy shit i knew that actor looked familiar. He played Theo sharpe in Bridgerton S2!
Y’all are one step ahead of so many of the plot points. But somehow it still makes it fun to watch you.

They called their ceasefire the day after
Maybe this Halloween they should watch the og Carrie 😂
I think Jenny is a prefect. It has been a few years since I watched this show.
ugh that zombies outro in the show 😭😭 PLEAAAASEEE WACth yellowjackets !!! PLEASE
Loved your reaction. The Bill thing was 100% real.
Also loved Joe putting his hand on Gerry’s shoulder when they hear about real stuff.
“Oh Drop Dead, you spiteful old hag !!!” was what Ma Mary said.
The line was not even that long 😑

“They have one of each” not this 😭 james cant catch a break even from reel time
The guy is Theo from Bridgerton season 2
is that Theo from Bridgerton???
yes
Guy on the left is just in his own little world. 🤣
THATS THEO FROM BRIDGERTOOOON
There's an older British series that didn't last long, but it was hilarious, called Chalk. I think you'd really like it.
If you're gonna do older british series... Spaced was just a couple years afterwards.
I wonder if they have ever watched Freedom Writers before? I would love it if they reacted to the movie if they haven’t watched it before!
I was a teacher's pet but I wasn't as extreme as Jenny. I kept mostly to myself. (Still do) I stood up to some people bullying this other kid but that was probably the most extreme thing I did in school.
You need to watch Carrie for Zuff.
Fr Ted is great Irish comedy. And you’re right about in betweeners
Also - avoid ‘mrs browns boys’ like the plague.
Did you guys watch House Of The Dragon ?
Thanks, Bryce! Thanks, Rob! Thanks, Zuff! ☘ #ReelTime #MichaelLennox #DerryGirls
Yes that's connell's gf.
14:53 😂
Drop dead and then she dropped dead ;)
You guys should do Heartstopper season 2 the day it drops!!
