Whew!! That's a hefty large price. I myself am trying to get a wheelchair for ambulatory use. I have Copd, a seizure condition and RA, which makes getting around on foot very difficult. But the prices are crazy high. Thankfully I do have a cane and my rollator which helps me for now but, I do want more independence and I know a wheelchair would be able to provide that.
Yeah I am dreading the day I have to pay for it myself, forget college debt I will be buried in endless fees. From hospitals, medicines procedures, and wheelchair or tools I know I will probably fall into debt at least once. I just wish the things we need to function could be cheaper.
While yes all of it is costly do you really need that last item don't get me wrong I just mean everything in general is expensive and talking about something that cost 16,000 and you could definitely live without just doesn't sit right with me
It's a bike for a person with a physical disability!. So she shouldn't exercise and do things cause she is in a wheelchair? U sound so ableist u should be a shamed of yourself. And it's like she probably doesn't NEED IT but WANTS IT like U ABLES with ur MOUNTAIN BIKES and MOTORCYCLES, which COSTS JUST AS MUCH. do u need those? No, u want them, and no one GOES TO U AND COMPLAINS cause IT'S A WANT, NOT A NEED, and she should WANT things just like ABLE BODIES.
I mean, tons of RUclipsrs flex about their Lambos and Ferraris. Showing off expensive things on the internet is by no means a new thing. But I think the intention is different. She is trying to raise awareness on how much it costs to be a disabled person. Both for necessities and recreational equipment.
@ellaneruda fair enough you do have a point. From my perspective tho idk I make about 24,000 a year and I can barely afford all my necessity so spending 16,000 on one thing is simply unimaginable for me especially if I was disabled in some way
As a guy who grew up poor the message I'm getting is thank God I'm not paralyzed bc my family couldn't have afforded any of this
That's why she mentions the importance of grants and community support

I have a question, do u always sit straight? Have u always sit straight? Im so curious about that
Wow, most paraplegics can't afford that and the government only provides a little. At least she has that and is making the best of it.
Wow that's a lot
Show what they do
