Edward is lucky to have not been mutated let alone dead, and he still has boco, the engine he was mentoring back in the 1920s and the other engine he mentored about coaches and people confuse him for sometimes. Plus, aside from July 5th, Edward hasn’t seen any suffering, and he seems to still have his mind in tact.
