    Well done. I was pleased you didn't use generic rocks for objects we have images of, this time. And making the Armageddon rock look visably metallic was a nice touch.

    I had no idea Halley's Comet was was bigger than the Chicxulub Impacator. Or for that matter, Hale-Bop was so massive. No wonder Heaven's Gate thought there was a ufo hiding behind it

      @@Artsy_Akaz5748 A cult from the 90s. They were led to believe they were aliens in human skin (or something like that) and that when the Hale-Bop Comet flew by Earth, there was a ship behind it that would take them away.

    I can't believe the Chicxulub Impacator is so.. *small*, just in comparison to everything else. It's absolutely wild to think about what it did to the planet!

      Well, it didn't do it by itself. There was another concurrent impact and the formation of a Large igneous province in modern-day India which, one after one, sealed the fate of reptilian domination on earth.

      Compared to 4954 eric, chixulub is a lil bit bigger (15km, while eric is just 10km)

    The a Armageddon asteroid is so large it would most likely be a dwarf planet if it really existed.

      @@michaelspencer8024 Yes, I do. The asteroid is larger in width than Ceres, another Dwarf planet. So either this asteroid is made of aerogel or it would actually be a dwarf planet.

    fun fact: the shoemaker-levy 9 comet was a comet that crashed into jutpiter in 1994, the impact was so energetic it heated up the athmospheric temperature of jupiter to 40.000°C

    The Chicxulub's *smallest* estimated size is considered to be 10 km. But estimates on it's potential largest size are 80 km. Quite a bit more massive.

      There is no way that Chicxulub´s comet would be that big. Otherwise the crater would have been much bigger. The estimated size is betwen 10 to 15 km.

    Armageddon should technically be too large to retain that shape. It’s own gravitational force should pull it together into a sphere.

    I think its fascinating that Chariklo is so small (in astronomy terms) but has a visible stable ring system. Which is why it's in my top 10 favorite solar system objects :]

    Although Chariklo and Chiron are Centaurs, which are bodies that share the same characteristics as asteroids and comets, and both of them are significantly smaller than the asteroid Vesta, both of them are suspected to have rings around them, similar to the faint rings of Jupiter, Neptune and even Uranus but on a much smaller size

    I honestly loved Armageddon. It was a super tense, action-packed sci fi movie, and it puts the idea out there that, one day, we might face a threat like a giant asteroid, and have to deal with it in ways we think are impossible.

      I really enjoyed that book as I was reading it (I enjoy everything I've read by Stephenson, with Cryptonomicon probably at the top stop) but the second part was so different than what came before; it's almost like two different books.

    The guy flying the Piper Cub is a braver man than me. All it takes is one shift in an asteroid and it's gonna come down on that little plane. The banner just makes it that much less maneuverable.

    Saw the first one and was impressed, the saw the second one and then saw some suggested one of Dragon size comparison which looks very cool (I love Dragons) and some fictional building comparisons and I was sold and I subbed.     I never expected comets to be that big! Asteroids, I can get behind, but comets!!??? They're supposed to be the lil shooting stars in the sky, not MASSIVE ROCKS a few MILES in diameter!!!!
