I liked this. I liked even the ending (which I often disagree with in this type of plot as they are often as evil as the people on whom they are getting revenge). In this case I feel that the decisions were justified and fair. The FL was ok for me but I think she'd do better in a contemporary. With her hair down in that one scene she was clearly perfect for a contemporary show, and her smile and bearing feel more modern. The ML was a gentle character and I feel he played that well. I feel like we could get more from the ML's brother had he had more lines; I look forward to maybe seeing him in other productions. The actress playing the FL's aide played that part well; though she wasn't given a lot of obvious "maid" tasks in the script, she still played devoted well. And her crying was very open and vulnerable. I really liked Mrs Zheng (the woman who's child she saved). She was the one I looked most forward to seeing in this show. Overall I found this a tiny bit unpolished, but I still liked it the "Cinderella kicks back by taking her life into her own hands" idea. I'd recommend it. SPOILER SPOILER . . . I don't understand what part the ML's supposed illness was supposed to play--the FL didn't seem to do anything to cure him. Yet he was strong enough to be a soldier in many battles. Did I miss something?
I think the female lead smelled medicine on the male lead because he often spent time with his mother who was actually ill. So the sufferings he had were actually worrying about his mother. And the female lead did actually cure his mother. I could be wrong but I think that was what the show meant.
I do like this series. But it’s like the writers forgot she was an assassin/agent after the first half. All that cunning and awesome skills went out the window the moment the villain prince showed up at the second half. Suddenly she can’t defend herself and gets easily captured and imprisoned, WTH? Edit:ok, she got smarter again in the last part, it’s good again 👍 Edit: her mother in law is THE BEST! I love her! 😲
Blame the script writer they have this inner prejudiced to strong women that they make them weak even when the character seems so obvious that she is supposed to be strong.

Admit didn’t watch the entire 🎭 due to FL always needed to be saved😂🤣😂. However, one part really stuck out and that was the Spirit King having FL whipped in one scene and next asking for her hand in marriage🤬. Where they bipolar in ancient times😂🤣😂
Thanks god the FL doesn’t end up with the one who abused her no matter how ‘handsome’ or ‘cool’ he was (since more than a few drama kinda love this theme)
I havent finished but i adore this drama!!!! No dumb ML whos head is so far up his 🍑 he cant tell right from wrong. ML&FL are uber adorable together. He cares for her, respects her, and protects her.
