    im guessing this is why we don't do inverse of a 4x4 at A-level, inverse of a 3x3 without a calculator takes enough time by itself

      You're absolutely right, calculating the inverse of a 4x4 matrix by hand can be quite time-consuming and complex, which is why it's often not covered at A-level without the aid of technology.     hi i wanna say i love your videos but i have a question for linear systems with 3 variables and 2 constants such as a and b what do we do
    for example
    c) For what values of a and b does the system below have (i) No solution?
    (ii) Many solutions? (iii) A unique solution?
    x-2y+3z+4
    2x-3y+az = 5
    3x-4y+5z=b

      To solve your question, you have to make the last row like this [0 0 variable|variable]. Then, you'll figure out which value of a and b will give you a unique solution, no solution, or infinitely many solutions.
      As an example, in the last row you will get [0 0 (number+a)|(b+number)].
