That’s probably fun, I’ve only taken one Korean class but it was online and I taking it in my home country. It would’ve been nice if I took it in korea so I’d have an opportunity to make friends and have actual chances to use it. ☹️ Right know I’m self studying and my korean has improved but it’s boring to always have force you self to talk to yourself… Luckily I’m going to Korea for the summer, I’ll be there in 28 days but it feels like 28 years 🙃
I hope you have a good vacation ❤️ I highly recommend experiencing the language program here if you want to take your korean to the next level. It really immerses you into the language.
I'm not familiar with grad school here, but from what I've heard, most grad school programs are taught fully in Korean. So you would probably have to take Korean lessons at your school to build fluency before starting the masters course.
How to were you able to finance your studies here? I’m interested in Yonsei University as a first time freshman student coming from the USA. Did you pay cash?
You have to pay by bank transfer, so basically, cash transferred from my checking account lol you can't pay with a credit card. I saved money to finance my studies. You can't legally work the first 6 months on a student visa in Korea, and after that, you can work part time with the permission of your school and immigration. So you have to save a lot of money and prove to the school and immigration that you have that money ready and available to be enrolled and given the visa. Through bank statements with your name on it.
I lowkey miss the classroom vibe. I need to take up classes again but those K-Languages are no joke
It's refreshing but also stressful 😂
