4K Hamburg Germany Walk in U-Bahn-Station Elbbrücken two futuristic glass buildings and 'Skywalk'

The ELBBRÜCKEN underground and S-Bahn stations are the stops at the Elbbrückenzentrum in Hafencity. Long-distance trains to and from Hamburg run through the centre of both stations. The two glass stations are connected by a futuristic, fully glazed pedestrian bridge called SKYWALK. The U-Bahn station was opened in 2018 and the S-Bahn station in 2019. Up to 6400 people change trains from the 470 S-Bahn trains that stop here every day. The stations are used by around 17,000 to 20,000 passengers.
In the future, there are plans to extend the two lines beyond the Norderelbe to the planned new Überseehafen residential neighbourhood.
