Richie, your channel is a gold mine and your vast knowledge about Stormtroopers, armor and all the little things is invaluable for everyone who is interested in this subject. Still haven't decided which armor and helmet to get, but it seems RS Propmasters is the best way to go. Maybe the best solution, although an expensive for sure, would be to have two sets of armor: one for "field use" and other "dress type" for more formal occasions which do not include heavy wear and tear. Thanks for all the input, well be closely following your posts.
Scratches happen, seen a guy with new shiney armor shut his toughbox to leave and he left his key in the lock, it came down and put a deep scratch in thigh armor. he tried various methods and ended up sanding and polishing it out but still wasnt happy. He used the excuse to make a sandtrooper and bought a new thigh piece.
Nice one Richie, interesting of those whom might want to buff and yes I can see the appeal of a 'battle scarred' trooper. Those remnant troopers in The Mandalorian definitely don't buff! 👍
Many people who have received the RS Propmasters Hero helmet feel it is too dull. Especially the cap. It is more of a satin finish, not glossy at all. The screen shots you showed have much more shiny helmets.
I haven't seen the hero helmet in person so I can't really comment. Do I show screen shots of hero helmets in this video? Can't remember but I don't think I really cover the heros. You also have to bear in mind though that any screen shots are grabs from a movie, i.e. they're images shot under powerful studio lights. That helps give us the impression of a shiny white stormtrooper.
Great video brother. I never really thot that much about it until now. I would have thot the Emporer would want shiny troopers. Haha. Very interesting about filming first scene later on.
May the Gloss be with You!
Novus saved my efx Vader helmet..
Good stuff.
"A lot of stormtroopers like to keep their armour clean": Laughs in sandtrooper

Thanks for the feedback, man. Glad it was interesting.
Is novus 1 useful at getting rid of black scuff marks or do I need something else?
