Before this controversy broke out, when I use to tell my friends that Maldives is a very radicalised country, they didn’t believe and I had to show data and papers from think tanks like ORF. It’s good this controversy broke out and many Indians will come to know the truth.
Also just to add Maldivian were not just planning terror attack, they were actually involved in attacks in 26/11. In an interview their former President accepted that one of the terrorists in 26/11 has Maldivian connection. Second Maldivian have been involved in Bangalore IIS bomb blast 2005 and also in Kashmir few Maldivian have been killed by Indian security forces.

I was born in Kerala but grew up in the North, and not all support Maldives. There is a huge Muslim population in Kerala, but not all Muslims are bad, most of them are peaceful (who follow Sunni and Sufi lifestyles). The reason why Keralites support Saudi and the UAE is because these countries are a go-to place for jobs just like how Canada is for Punjabies.

Other religions like Muslims and Christians all coexist peacefully and very friendly with very few friction once in a while. People even take part and celebrate one another's festivals despite of religious differences. However, radical Muslims have penetrated Kerala and are spreading. They brainwash few people every year. Most people are educated and aware so they don't fall into their traps easily. But saying that, government has to become more vigilant and take timely actions.

Our India is the major supplier of food and fresh produce to the Maldives. Rice is a staple in the Maldivian diet and a significant portion of this high-quality rice, which is in demand in the Maldives is provided by our India through our Indian Navy. The nutritional needs of the Maldivian population is secured by our Indian Navy and since Maldives cannot sustain their own population, I think the Maldivian policy towards their neighbor is short-sighted.
They don't need to worry if their neighbour India hs many ppl desperate to become 'Mahaan'. We already have a massive bangladeshi and rohingya population in india and they do lot of crimes in delhi area.

Very good informative video. Maldives, like our other neighbors, was always close to India. In the 90s we established a hospital in Mali. Lots of Maldivians used to come to Kerala and TN for medical trmt, education etc. Sad that the country we helped so much is today a terror hub. But we must also think and speak about the situation of Muslims and other minorities in India today. Gujarat, Manipur, Delhi and so on. Also, why all our neighbouring countries are our enemies now? Something wrong with our behaviour also?

Almost all the countries around us hate us as they are not as good as we are.
