So why didn’t we send the assets first we need money here I’m literally dying because the health care needs help I’m waiting for a doctors appointment a month away and even if I go to the emergency room they don’t know what they are doing and the clinics are threatening to reschedule if you show up before your appointment date

i know 2 people in buildings outside of toronto with evictions. In one building, a tenant was evicted maybe a year ago but in the name of "need it for myself/family" to live in. Well, the adult (50yr old?) son moved in and he's only there maybe 2 days/week, max. In the other building, a couple was evicted from a 3rd level floor. a relative also moved in there. The problem is, that he's been there a while and my friend said that you can look in through the balcony or windows and there are no curtains, nothing on the walls, and there appears to be no furniture either. I suspect it's basically being used as a place to get mail so it can be claimed as a primary residence for the landlord to legitimize the eviction.
Another 5 billion to another country , when have they given us anything or any other country for that matter. 5 billion goes a long way in fixing housing issues or fixing the log jam on lakeshore and Gardiner. We should all have a government secured app to vote. This would eliminate the reason to keep these corrupt politicians pocketing dollars.
TO , the richest city in Ont, is always screaming for poorer cities to give them more money for transportation. They should pay for their own, like the rest of us do. Cheers anyways
@@LizbethGerow You guys don't... that's the problem. Toronto is half of Ontario's GDP, but we're not getting half of Ontario's funding...
@Brinn-yw4dy they may say that now, but a couple of years ago they were just screaming for the province to give them money for transportation. It was on the news everywhere.
They have done that on StClair Ave West. A nightmare for merchants and drivers 😢
Looks like I will need to take the 510 at least once before the 23rd as it might be the last time this year I take that route as I will not bother since the buses will take close to or over twice/3 times as long in regular traffic especially if I attempt to go south of King and the Gardiner construction does not help
the drug overdoses are because of the reduction system, no one overdoses in areas where there is no harm reduction because the harm reduction system attracts the drug addicts
that infrastructure wasn't built that long ago. We have lots to spend, but the city never has any money.

Even a third word country have better transportation system
we used to have electric buses with overhead wires in Toronto. They would pull into the curb and get out of the way. Then they took them out and put in streetcars in the center of the roads, which blocked traffic like crazy. Now they can't figure out why car pollution is so much heavier
And we had trams on Spadina before the trolley busses... it's like they realized that trolley busses were significantly less efficient or something.

we were renevicted after 25 yrs in the same apt. We couldn't get all our things out in time....i'm old. The landlords didn't repair /get another person in for a year. we lost memories for nothing....
Welcome to Toronto of the 21st century. Yes, the new modern 15-minute city. Toronto did function well, but that period has been lost in time. Oh yes, summer is fast approaching road closers for those summer events every weekend. And don't forget demonstrations and riots. We have to follow the USA. Like sheep.

it amazes me that the govt and scientists and climate activists haven't figured out that slower speeds, more stop signs, fewer car lanes cause WAY more pollution from car exhaust...something that's supposed to be dangerous. We knew that in 1970
