- Today, I go and check out Pasar Badung, also known as Badung Market in Denpasar Bali. It is Bali's largest traditional market in Denpasar. After checking out what they have inside the market, I go for a little stroll on the outside where there are many vendors and stalls out selling everything from coconuts to skinned chickens. It was quite the scene.

Bali is every bodies dream destination, but they made a mistake with Pasar Badung. The building and the area does not look Balinese but more like Mediterranean.

OMG Pasar Kumbasari! it changed alot since my last time there. Always interesting to visit Pasar. More jalan jalan to Pasar Nick. Next time Pasar Kedonganan Bali, you can buy some seafoods there and ask the chef to cook it for you. Stay safe! 😊

The market is so quiet. It was a busy market when I was there b4 covid19. Btw your bahasa Indonesia is good though u just learn online
Pasar Badung is a good market to buy a Batik Shirt and it is handy to always to own at least one Batik Shirt in Indonesia just in case you get invited to a 'formal' ceremony sometime. And I suspect you will get asked to a Wedding or some other type of occasion sometime because you have a style that the Locals will take to and make friends with. The top floor of Pasar Badung or the building on the right where you saw construction has stalls selling traditional batik shirts made of cotton. You look to be about 6' and getting a batik to fit won't be easy , xxxl! There is a place called KRISNA Toko Oleh Oleh which is fixed price , no haggling, in downtown Denpasar to buy a Men's traditional Balinese Batik shirt and they have Bule sizes.

KRISNA Toko oleh oleh is not that expensive either really. It looks posh sort off but my wife shops there and she won't overspent! On the other hand, in Java, prices are cheaper again. Actually Bali is more expensive for most things compared to Java. But until this dang pandemic hit , wages in Bali were higher than Java , even for the Laborers. This pandemic has hurt Bali so bad. No tourists.

Check out Fish Market Pasar Kedonganan, you will find best grilled fish. Choose the fish and next to the market, there are shops to grill them and you eat them by sitting next to the sea. Best Sambals in that place :D
