Nice job! I did my own a few years ago. I used a Fender Squier SE model (It has a regular full thickness body, not the thinner ones like the Bullet and Affinity Strats have) with small headstock and rosewood fingerboard. I sanded down the finish and then sanded everything nice and smooth. I used white Rustoleum as a base and then a light "dauphne/sonic blue" style blue. I then did all the other colors using glossy enamels, as George used shiny colors on his. I even found a sparkle metallic green (for Patti boyd's nail varnish). For the white and black lettering and designs I used paint pens as they work better for me than a brush. I stayed fairly true to his guitar paint wise. I used bright colors, but stayed away from modern neons as they can be too bright. After that was a non yellowing gloss lacquer on the body, headstock face and pickguard (so the paint won't just scratch off during play). For reference I used the Tony Bacon guitars of the Sixties book, and screen grabs from Dani Harrison's GH collection guitar app. It turned out great!
Freakin' stunning. I'm inspired. Gonna order a strat kit and build one from scratch, learn to play the damn thing and start a Beatles cover band called FOOL ON THE HILL. Thank you so much.
Currently painting my own replica of "the fool" using the same paints as you. after it was all dried and bumpy what grit sandpaper did you use to even it out before clear coating??
Hey sr, good job, can you upload a video of you giving more information or ideas. Im just a begginer i would like to try painting my own guitar like this

Need a bass player? I'm here xD
Yo I need an update how’s it going?
Super cool dude, think this is my next project, no use having my old generic strat lying around when it could pay tribute to this beauty!
What an amazing job. That paintjob looks astonishing. Greetings from Denmark!
Thank you so much for watching and the nice words !
Could you explain your clear coating method in greater detail?
Very underrated video! Great job, sir! Looks beautiful!

This was a 'Solo' kit !
@@HipGuitar Awesome, did you post it to Solo ? They have a ''Guitar of the month'' Blog.
@@yveschiasson Haha..I never knew there was such a thing....Not sure this one would qualify as not all components are 'Solo'....
The nu finish polish, does it work well on acrylic ?
inspired
How do you replace the electronics? Nice video
Easiest way is to get a loaded pickguard and replace any plastics you want while it's off, all you need solder is the ground and output jack
Did you buffed the guitar before clear coating?
Hi there. No. No buffing before applying the clear-coating. But the clear coating/sanding was repeated over and over.
Thx☺️
I wanted to do this and was hoping someone else had before haha my dad will probably kill me but......
lmao just found out the made in mexico version was sold out on sweetwater
What gave it the glossy finish?

What are you using to sand it?
Automotive sanding paper 1000 - 4000 grit
