She's a professional fighter, and i think she's smart enough to realize that she's losing it because she's literally doing nothing in the fight, she doesn't need the opinion of her coach to understand it. The whole fight it seemed to me that it was really her plan, and coaches hadn't that much to do with it, like she thought it was a good plan to win, and it was disgusting and disrespectful to the viewers who paid their money to see this. That was the worst fight i have ever seen in my life
Glad Charles Oliveira got the bonus. That was a masterclass performance with a sick transition to sub after a combo dropping with failed inverted triangle to a rear naked. The card was balanced out with 2 extremely great fights and 2 boring ones. Vicious kick KO ever seen on par with Anderson Silva. Namajunas vs Esparza was as entertaining as these in video ads.
Oliveira is an absolute monster. I mean he was walking Gaethje down for God’s sake. With every fight he has, it looks more and more like he might have actually had a chance against Khabib. EDIT- Charles has the size to live with Khabib. Clearly a much more powerful, rangier & diverse striker, and if it hits the ground no matter under what circumstances or what round, he could end Khabib night in 10 seconds. I’m not saying he would win but it would without a doubt be Khabibs biggest challenge.
@@enjay2229 this is being ignorant for no reason. Olivera’s ground game is miles ahead of anybody khabib fought, and he’s shown he’s got some of the heaviest hands in the division.
I would give it 60-40 for khabib only because I have seen Olivera get defeated multiple times and he got in trouble in most of his fights even when he wins, but he absolutely can catch Khabib in a submission
@Big Bad punisher what are you talking about casual. Don't be a trash hater. Dana made this shit, he can hire and Fire whoever he wants. Dana is the man 100%. He is the main person to thank for everything UFC period.
Just a reminder that André Fialho already fought 3 times this year, with 2 performance of the night in less than a month, and we are still in early may...
Well said. Didn't even think about that aspect. Olivera really did spend zero time with gaging Gaethje. He whole-heartedly believed in his ability to fully FULLY mix it up. No wasting time. Especially in the 1st round of a championship fight. Put it on 'em. Put 'em down. Put on the belt I think Gaethje's still contemplating "wtf just happened?"
I think Oliveira has two secret weapons: first, if he is hurt or dropped, he'll just drop into guard: guys won't follow him cuz his BJJ is that dangerous, so when Charles get hurt he basically has a position to sit and recover before the ref stands it up- this allows him much more confidence on the feet. Secondly, if he hurts an opponent even a LITTLE, he won't go to G&P (which guys will often survive), but instead slide seamlessly into a sub, which on a dazed opponent he will finish basically 100% of the time. It's like he's changing the rules of the sport with his style, its crazy
I didn't even think of the use of the 2-3 knock downs Olivera was hit with, as a methodical recovery aspect. Brilliant!!!!! When Olivera got knocked down multiple times, rather than try to stay standing up or jump up quick, he used his jui-jitsu position on his back to recover, get his bearings & equilibrium, let his vision adjust, if needed, & then gets a safe return to his feet, since the ref steps in. I'm thinking, even if someone tried to control Olivera on the ground, they are rolling the dice & taking a chance of becoming submitted & if they choose not to, he's already got the recovery time on his back. Critics can say what they want about Olivera getting knocked down, but it's what he does with getting knocked down, that separates his fight IQ, from other fighters IQs.
Its was nice that Charles shut down Gaethje. Gaethje said that he would win 7/10 against Charles. That Chandler only landed 4 punches in their fight and it wasnt even close. The reason he lost to Khabib was a time zone thing. I love watching Gaethje fight, but hate how he talks about him self and his opponents.
Just gotta say: Tony should be proud of himself. He did so good. A KO can happen to anyone and people need to understand that. Tony in no way should feel done. He showed he really has so much ability left in him. I'm just glad he is okay with how he landed on his neck, guys can get paralyzed like that in football and stuff. I hope he just brushes off any nonsense fans that give up on fighters when fighters take risks. If someone is showing more signs of being done, that's when you talk about things but Tony is still looking really good. I thought he did great in the first round. It was like opposite of what Chandler vs Olivera was. So I hope he just rolls with it. (2nd, I can not believe that they took away Rose's belt over that fight? No one won that, it should have been a draw, rose should of kept her belt, she didn't "Lose" her belt in my opinion.) (3rd Charles Olivera shouldn't of lost his belt over .5 of a pound! And not even be able to win it back by winning this fight.. plus fighters were talking bout the scale ⚖️ and they really need to get rid of the human aspect of adjusting a manual old scale.. he shouldn't be punished that bad. Especially when if he actually has a chance of actually weighing 155 but that scale was off... Idk) what a crazy situation for all this...
As per your scale point, they should use top of the range digital scales now and at the official weigh ins, have each fighter step on 3 times and take the weight based on those 3 readings. Draw a line straight through the middle of there is any discrepancies between the 3 displayed weights.
I'm really happy Carla won, she deserved it because she actually tried to take Rose down, and Rose just tried to lightly tap Carla and mostly ran away from her. I'm still a Rose fan but I don't know wtf happened there.

I’ll be interested to see whether the UFC uses this ambiguity over the 155 title as a way of getting McGregor into the mix. Be it him fighting before Oliveira comes back for an interim strap, or him fighting Charles for the interim strap. They can probably sell that matchup far better than a straight up title shot.
That scale BS really backfired huh, now they all look like fools, especially justin, stage was set for him to win, charles stripped, frustrated(they thought), depleted, booed. Joe Rogan is right✅. It's time for Charles vs Islam💥💯. That'd be the ideal Tony vs Khabib 2.0 we all craved to witness🤩😍. Dariush can fight someone else from Top 5
True. But now Dana has two excuses to had a "backup" fighter for the next title bout: - Charles has missed weight a few times - And Charles isn't officially the LW Champ Basically, this is how you'd get Conor back in a title fight. Specially if it's against Khabib's brother Islam!
Makhachev should be the next in title shot as he is number 3 and first two contenders lost their chance. Islam should have this title shot. Lets have it.
After the Rose/Carla fight, I felt like the belt shouldn't have gone to either of them. For someone to win a belt with 3 takedowns is embarrassing for the sport. When you're a professional UFC fighter, you have an obligation to the sport. Neither girl met her obligation and neither should get the belt!
Honestly, the only lightweight title match that is going to be intriguing will be Charles Oliviera vs Islam Makhachev. Stop entertaining Conor Mcgregor bs.
why people dont understand that activity is everything in sports, conor is not the same fighter because he fights veryyy rarely, i am a big mcgregor fan, but chandler is a very hard match up for him and i am afraid he will not handle chandler, chandler is a beast
Islam vs oliviera is the ONLY fight to make. Islam is on a 10 win streak and ppl are getting second cracks at the belt before he even gets his first. Dana got something against the man and is still complaining that Islam needs one more fight. I swear chandler or conor will get another shot before Islam gets one

I understand that people love Olivera but literally everyone has turned into Alex Jones coming up with ridiculous conspiracy theories. Charles Oliveras's explanation makes no sense at all, he's obviously lying but people are eating it up because he's likable. He says he made weight on Thurs but was the last one to weigh in on Friday, for those who don't understand this, you need as much time as you can to rehydrate, if someone actually makes weight on Thurs they would not wait 3 extra hours to weigh-in, doing that means you're needlessly keeping your body dehydrated and starved, he obviously did not make weight on Thursday. Also if you've ever cut weight, NO ONE IN THE WORLD cuts all their weight a night before, literally no one because you're putting yourself in serious danger, every fighter leaves a couple of pounds for the morning after. Just for reference Charles was the FIRST to weigh in against Dustin. Non-championship fighters have a 1lb weight allowance and while announcing their weight is rounded off. The most important thing to prove this is that Gaethje, Rose, and Esparza all made weight without any issues, ONLY Charles did not.
A simple kg to lb conversion on Google can be used...no need to adjust the scale ....math equation to convert from kg to lbs.....divide by 2.2 or multiply by 2.2.

Clearly a much more powerful, rangier & diverse striker, and if it hits the ground no matter under what circumstances or what round, he could end Khabib night in 10 seconds. the man's striking is ELITE
Wow staying busy
Apparently he just got a fight booked for UFC 275 right after this, that's awesome.
Oliveiras confidence skyrockets with every fight. Walking down opponents and engaging in technical trades with almost no feeling out process
Well said. Didn't even think about that aspect. Olivera really did spend zero time with gaging Gaethje. He whole-heartedly believed in his ability to fully FULLY mix it up. No wasting time. Especially in the 1st round of a championship fight. Put it on 'em. Put 'em down. Put on the belt
I think Gaethje's still contemplating "wtf just happened?"

Conor doesn’t even have power in lightweights like he did in feathers. Guarantee Chandler, Dustin and Justin all hit way harder and they couldn’t stop Charles.
Literally delusional if you thought that
@@drossi101 his only chance would be getting lucky and doing him like he did Aldo
@@drossi101 it wasn’t delusion. Conor in the past has been able to put people down with left hand. I said he had a chance against him, the odds were always against him. Conor isn’t what he used to be but he can still hit hard. Poirier admitted it in their second fight that he was hurt.
@@ultimatehobo1054 Conor doesn’t hit hard as a lightweight. He hit hard as a feather. Conor has been able to put 1 lightweight out and that was Alvarez.
The rose/esparaza fight was a complete disaster and needed to be talked about a lot more.
Imagine winning a title with one punch thrown.
Dana looks mad...He wasn't happy with this event...But I am happy for Charles Bronx
ya I think everyone is after that co-main event. like wtf
“Bellator-esque in its delivery joe”
Him and Arizona rigged the odds against Charles and Charles still annihilated Gaethje.
@@moustachio334 exactly that was so shady man
I like how he basically admits the scales get messed up and they need a security guard there as if they were just gonna let this continue to be a problem if a situation like this didn’t blow up
Charles cheated. Deal with it
I understand that people love Olivera but literally everyone has turned into Alex Jones coming up with ridiculous conspiracy theories.
@ Just pointing out dana acknowledges it as a problem but wasn’t gonna avoid doing anything about it 🤷🏻♂️. Some are definitely coming up with some wild stuff, but obviously lying? He owned it since it happened. I appreciate the Alex jones breakdown of Charles’ side tho.
@@johnnysanchez4996 walked through gaethje*
Tony looked like the Tony of old except...the chin.
The durability of Tony was mostly taken away from him the Pettis, Gaethje and Vanatta fight's.
Mostly the beating Gaethje put on him is what pushed his chin to the brink but that kick was perfect by Chandler.
I hope they let Tony fight Arman Tsarukyan at one point soon.
Charles is the undisputed king of the division now it was disrespectful of UFC to take the belt off the guy he has run through the guys in the top of the division.
This makes UFC like WWE only few money drawing guys are given exemptions like Conor and Jones
U understand who is the best only after the fight with Islam Makhachev
Rules are rules tho. You gotta draw the line somewhere. But everyone knows that Charles is the champ.
Disrespectful is missing weight, especially as the champ. No champ has ever missed weight before, not Conor, not Jones.
@@barkhayotnosirov9540 oliveira murdered top 5 contenders. Islam... Beat bobby green...
Islam should fight chandler, justin or dustin. Oliveira can cruise and let the top 5 beat eachother before anyone gets close to a title shot
It's not the UFC's rules, is it? It's the commission's. Dana and the UFC can't do anything about it
