Keep spending most our lives living in the gangsta's paradise
There's no cops or traffic lights living in an Amish paradise
Amish Paradise is a lot more memorable than Gangsta.
Check out the original song that coolio sampled called PastTime Paradise by Stevie Wonder!
Amish Paradise is a real banger.
I love how by the late 90s Weird Al doing a parody of you meant you had "made it"
"Tell me why are we so blind to see? That the ones we hurt are u and me?" - LV, 1995
RIP coolio man
Al is just so naturally lovable. It almost makes me a little bit sad that I didn’t go through the fabled “weird Al phase” in high school. I might not have gone through the super fan cycle, but I’ll damned if I don’t respect the man.
Mine was in middle school lol
Al just feels so respectful.
Its parody but with love and you can feel it 🤣
LOL...the two of them standing by the microphone...
The trick to parody is to always come from a place of love and respect. It never feels like Weird Al is just shitting on someone. It always comes across like he's just having fun, just a genuinely nice dude.
In my opinion, Weird al is a good guy he definitely isn’t someone that wants to hurt anyone , he is someone who wants to entertain and make people laugh and be happy
I miss this time in life, the time where most people didn’t take themself to seriously and people didn’t try to make things deeper then they really are. People just enjoyed each other. We need to get back to that.
Spot on. I miss the days of ppl being free spirits like that
Today there would’ve been a bunch of tweets and blogs. Al would’ve got cancelled for doing it. Coolio would’ve got cancelled for not getting mad. The AMAs would’ve got cancelled for airing it.
I can't stand the mentally-ill people of today. I can't help but feel like it was all intended.
Now everyone would be saying he's evil for commiting an act of cultural appropriation
@@GBullockNC 😂😂
That’s back when we still laughed at & with each other without getting all bent out of shape.
Weird Al parodying you is the highest compliment in our culture.
This is what Weird Al does. This is who that character IS on a fundamental level. So for him to “parody” someone is the highest form of flattery.
Weird Al wins for the most fun concert I've ever been to. His competition included Prince and Pink!💞
Woah that's cool wow
Well if that's all you've seen I'd hope weird al won. 😳
I've only seen videos of his live stuff, but I can tell he puts a lot into his performances.
The best concert I ever went to was a Weird Al concert. Absolutely killer set list, amazing costumes, just the most fun I've ever had in an arena. 10/10 would recommend.
Man, those concerts sound like a ride. I hope to be able to attend shows too one day. ^^
the hair had wires in it so that's why he is called Wired Al
😂 Love it. We need a Weird Al in this generation to help some people lighten up.
I'll never forget sitting down for this live, watching this and laughing my ass off
Coolio is a thinking man, he's almost always smooth as glass in interviews.
He's not a thinking man 😂 he got a tattoo and had juggalo spelt wrong 😂😂
@@imme3679 That's one word out of how many...and reading isn't really an indicator of innate intelligence.
@@etherealnerd No, it really is.
@@etherealnerd One word is a hell of a lot when it's a tattoo.
@@TehButterflyEffect What I mean is that many people are not able to read because they were never taught. That doesn't mean they aren't great thinkers or intelligent depsite that. It's also super common for tattoo artists to be the one to fuck up the spelling of a word, not the person who unfortunately got it tatted on them lol
*R.I.P Coolio*
Who gives af about that dirty "reggiN"
Coolio sounds so down to earth. Nowadays everyone has such a weak ego they would be losing it talking about killing him for this. Sad times
weird al is a legend
Guys like weird Al are perfect race ambassadors. People can tell the difference between malicious and fun, it’s just a case of “I can be cool too” it’s funny cause of all the effort it takes for him to emulate other people.
We need all the weird Als we can get nowadays
Race doesn't have to be injected into everything
"race ambassadors" 😂😂 why do we need ambassadors? We're not segregated nations, unless that's what you're looking to achieve.
@@dextersynesterformerlysorb5334 imagine trying to turn a positive comment into drama with your pettiness. Did mommy not hug you enough?
@@ewartlambert 😂 imagine using a ten year old meme, followed by accusing me of pettiness alongside a petty insult 😂 you're a joke mate.
Got to party with Coolio in Park City 2011 and he was so laid back and chill, such a cool dude
So Coolio played it... coolio
I wonder if this was done in this day and age, someone would lead some cancel culture against poor Al.
Ugh, of course not🙄 all that shit is hyper focused on. There is no cancel culture, there are only people on both sides complaining about things they don’t like. Only 3 people actually take it seriously.🙄
@@portalina have you never been on Twitter?
@@portalina I know people who will be fired from their jobs for saying things like “men can’t be lesbians.” I’d say it’s real.
@tom tom lol you can't cancel Norm Macdonald
@@portalina of course a white Karen like you would say that.
Coolio is my buddy. He’s a real person. There’s no way this would upset him. He likes a good joke better than anyone. Coolio is a legend man
Ok Matt, Coolio’s your best buddy, we get it
He wasn't fond of the song, though.
I agree we are super close too. Just a great guy. Just kidding he tried to block the song and then had a lawsuit. I saw him cuss out a 12 year old for asking for a picture at a restaurant and then made a scene about his food. Kept yelling "im coolio". Dude is a clown.
@@arthurcharlie2873 lmao the only other time I’ve ever seen this feller coolio was on Nickelodeon when I was a kid
Bro wtf... He's at my house rn he say he aint never heard of you!!
Nowadays social media would be like “that’s still cultural appreciation”
Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.
Imagine doing that today? They'd be trying to cancel him😂
Hell yeah, because all they do is cry too damn much.💯🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why? Its just a hair
The best part of this is Weird Al did it in a way that showed it was intended to be a compliment, and true to Weird Al's work at the same time.
Wouldn't matter today because liberals would still label him a "racist".
Rest in peace coolio
Weird Al is the capybara of celebrities. He's always able to chill with anyone at the end of the day, and it's nearly impossible not to like him
1996: That's cool
2021: "CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!!!"
🖕🖕🖕 culture appropriation
not really. a joke is a joke. it's obvious when something is meant to be malicious and its ok to treat it as such. this is a joke and it would still be today.
@@elioth7795 That's the joke,
WOOOOOSSSSHHH
THIS IS #MAGA COUNTRY it didn't really go over my head, it kinda just fell on the ground
@@elioth7795
And on a funny side note Al won in the end......he still has a full head of hair 😅
It took many years, but only now do people realize how cool it is to be parodied by Weird Al.
Thanks for sharing this.
Nice to hear there was a happy ending
When its all love , people can feel that. Weird al is just a goofy guy . Glad to see his name getting some notoriety all these years later. Dude has a heart of gold.
Honestly, I respect the effort of anyone who wants to have an "out there" hairstyle. Im too basic and lazy for that shit.
The fact he had to use wires meant the style was not meant for his hair, people with Afro hair don’t need wires, it defies gravity on its own. But like you, I love seeing a “out there” hair style too!
You get parodied by Weird Al-you have made it in the music industry!
“Weird Al” Yankovic is one of my favourite all-time artists I have every album of his that is out really want to see him a concert I think he’s hysterically funny and in a lot of cases I like his version better than the original I like how he keeps his music clean and it’s funny for everybody
A lot of musicians have a good amount of respect for Al.
Rip coolio. A lot of legends are dying this year.
Sad to say that he’d be canceled for this these days.
Weird Al paying you homage is like the most sincere form of flattery. He's rumored to be such a genuinely nice man, too. I think Lady Gaga is the one who said you haven't made it until you have a Weird Al parody?
a lot of people have said that, because it's true. Lin-Manuel Miranda said he "truly knew he had made it" when Weird Al made the Hamilton Polka
I believe Kurt cobain was the first to say that
Al is just a genuinely nice guy.
Love you Weird Al. RIP Coolio....
I love Weird Al and have since I was a kid in the 80s and early 90s when his music was playing on MTV when MTV still played music videos!!🤣
He's truly a unique talent and a seriously funny guy!!
So glad to hear that they had such a chill interaction and that Coolio was so cool about it and even went so far as to compliment him!!
That's what I would truly call whatever good sportsmanship would be called for the music industry!!
Just proves how much of a class act and just how decent a person in general that Coolio truly is!!
I have mad respect for him for the gracious way that he handled it!!
MTV still plays music but it's literally like a few hours starting at like 3am
Miss the days when you could joke around without getting cancelled lol this is just good ole fashioned fun clearly no one is upset about it lol but if this happened nowadays it would be ww3
Al's shows are awesome i had fun when he came to my city a few years ago
R.I.P. Coolio
Definitely know you've
risen to the top in the entertainment industry when Weird Al parodies you. Its just like having a living advertisement that associates humorous great feelings of his parody to you! I cant think of Michael Jackson without thinking of one of Als parodies of him.
