It is not just beautiful but incredibly practical to have stone behind the stove and as the backsplash and window sill. Those areas are constantly splattered or water ringed and wear and tear shows quickly. Great idea.

Your switch cover solution is genius! PS for your soup, if you want to keep it vegan but add creaminess, soak some cashews in hot water for about 30 min then drain and add to your blender when you are blending everything else.

I am also super picky with my scents and have ended up with 2 that were not really my vibe. However, I gave them as gifts to people that DID love those smells, and they enjoy them everyday. My favorite so far is Autumne. I'm also really looking forward to the Christmas scent she comes out with because spicy, woodsy scents are my jam.

To be honest I tried all of them and they not really overpowering and not super big. I highly recommend you to try buying one and trying.
