Getting more and more convinced to upgrade from my S10+, I had lots of doubts from other RedMagic OS reviews but this is SO extensive and exactly what I'm looking for, 99% of the reviews show the looks of the phone and the specs but nothing about the OS, Keep this up!
As far as the RGB lights, you can change the colors and how the lights flicker, and assign each color to different phone states, notifications and activities that occur throughout the use of the device. The fan light color can also be changed as well.

I currently have the global version of RedMagic 9 Pro - it's amazing, other than two annoyances: The Global ROM does not currently have the theme store, so I can't change the system fonts. Netflix contents can only be streamed in SD and no HDR, even though the phone supports it. Hopefully future updates will fix these issues.
Nit brightness is important if you plan to use the device outdoors a lot, if you compare it with a higher nit screen outside during daylight you'll understand.

does nova launcher work fine? by that i mean if you set it, the phone stays with nova & nova only or is it like OS 6 where it keeps switching back to the default launcher? the way to test this is to press back on some apps to direct yourself to homescreen. if it reverts to nova consistently everytime then it's fine

What is the "Plus"? Their website has no mention of a "plus" model. It just says "RedMagic 9 Pro". Are you referring to the Snowfall or Cyclone models that have 512gb of storage? The only + I see in the listing is: 12GB+256GB / Sleet 16GB+512GB / Cyclone 16GB+512GB / Snowfall
The plus is the Chinese variant, you can get it from giztop.com they don't sell this variant globally, you can get the 24 gig model with a TB of storage on there
This actually looks a lot like the MIUI experience, without the annoyances of their official ROMs. I like it, I don't feel like I'd need a custom ROM or anything for this device.

Even that Ultra Battery Saver, the customization for Boot, OSD, Notification, all the complete Themes, Super Wallpapers, App Duplicator, Floating App Windows, individual Per-App Volume Control (which I think came with Android 13) is all pretty cool. Even the settings page layout is very similar. For those coming from a Xiaomi device this will feel like home pretty quickly.

But i missed two functions that i use a lot. It's just really noticable in the default applications but j uninstall basically all of them and then just download Google versions. I also just freeze the apps I can't remove via install. When you get it the keyboard will be super weird but basically you just have to go to the Play store and download Gboard and you're good to go. The screen to body ratio is pretty slim so it's really not too horrible. It is a big phone though that's for sure. It's kind of worth it in my opinion man.

If this phone was a little bit smaller, like...6.3 inch instead of 6.8, it will be the perfect smartphone in the world right now! It is, but tooo darn big!
The screen to body ratio is pretty slim so it's really not too horrible. It is a big phone though that's for sure. It's kind of worth it in my opinion man.

I record on my s24 ultra, I had my brothers iPhone 11 that I used to record videos. I'm not sure what an available camera has to do with you thinking I like apple more than android lol. It's a good phone though and I think so, it works well with T-Mobile! Go for it if you get the chance!
