    These Master safety LOCKOUT locks are great - 6 security pins, paracentric keyway and very lightweight. Although they are not meant to be taken apart, I will show you the guts after picking open another one.

    I was surprised to see all those spools for that type of lock. Thanks for sacrificing one of them so we can see the inside & giving the cut a way demo of how the lock works!

      Yes, these LOTO locks are know to have fun pins. The lock can be put together easily with an elastic band - almost like new ;-)

    They are fun when they are full of spools. Good job

      Yes, fun locks. And hard ones depending of the bitting.

      Yes, one of the rare examples where a master has great pins.

    A nice breakdown and explanation thanks Potti. I know its only a safety device but looking at the design seems possible given enough room around the shackle, to drill through the plastic above the actuator and remove it thus unlocking the device.Alternatively drill through the side releasing the two ball bearings.

    • @Potti314
      @Potti314  5 лет назад

      Yes, you're probably right. Lot of fun stuffy could be done with a plastic housing ;-)

    Always great to see inside these. Such an improvement over their normal cores too but still not as good as the American Lock Pins. Thanks for showing :-)

    • @Potti314
      @Potti314  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, similar to the American pins. But what makes this lock very tricky is the keyway. Thanks for stopping by mate.

    • @LockNoob
      @LockNoob 5 лет назад

      Potti314 yeah, that’s a weakness of the ALs, that open keyway. A combination of that ML keyway and the AL pins... that would be good :-)

    Great video! I wish you showed the disassembly. I would like to know how easy it is to break these locks with a brute force attack.

    Two very cool LoTo locks Potti :). It's funny that it has such a nice core in a plastic housing and other Masters have much worse ones ;D. Also cool that you did cut one open, that's definitely interesting for people to have a look inside such a lock body :). Thanks a lot for sharing 😊👍👋🦊

    • @Potti314
      @Potti314  5 лет назад

      Thank you Tom. When I have two then I can cut open one for you ;-) Yes, strange that this is almost the only great core in Master locks.

    Great job! I have some of these padlocks, some of them are tough to pick and all of them are fun to play with. I never gut one of these so thanks for showing my friend ;o)))

    Very nice My Friend, i liked to see the inside of this one, i don't mind to force a lock to gut it as Long it is not an old lock if IT is old i think it is a shame to do anything

    • @Potti314
      @Potti314  5 лет назад +1

      I think I'm less reluctant than the average locksport guy when it comes to destruction or forceful opening. However I do follow your path of not messing around too much with nice old locks which are rare.

      Yeah, that's why people usually explicitly tell me not to gut certain locks when they send me something old ;-)
