I was at this game with my dad and it's easily the best basketball game I've ever been to; men, women, college, pros you name it! In OT it truly felt like Paige was unstoppable, we were in the corner by the basket UConn was shooting on and every single shot that left her hands in OT felt like it was guaranteed to go in. By 2OT all I recall is cheering and screaming until it felt like my lungs were about to burst 😂Amazing gem of a memory, hopefully they can go far again this year, along with the men!
Earlier in the season when Paige and Azzi were out and Geno Auriemma said in a Post game interview, Said "We have 45 points on the Bench he was so Right and tonight Paige and Azzi had 46 Combined points tonight.

yeah but Paige had 15 in the last 3 minutes of regulation and OT, Azzi…..2( zero baskets). This was Azzi’s best all round game and was still not in Paige’s strata. She then went on to score just 11 total in the Final Four and finals on horrific shooting, more turnovers than hoops, only 1 assist. She has a long way to go. She has potential,
but she’s far from the star everyone is trying to make her out to be. Maybe one day, but not now.

@@adamstokes6530 Yeah, but that game was reff’ed unfairly. They [refs] let SC get ahead by 15 before they called any fouls on them. And then when UConn closed the gap to five, they went back to it. That game was “fixed”. You’ll never convince me otherwise. It’s like they say in the NFL, there’s a flag on EVERY play, really. But whether or not they call it is a different story. If the refs called everything, stopping play, the games would all be boring. Refs can definitely influence the outcome of a game. They’re the second next to the actual coach.

@@frankiek2269I couldn’t agree more. The first time I watched the game I wasn’t a huge fan of either teams. South Carolina were dirty players. And any time edwards or Nelson ododa would breath they’d give them a foul.. it’s messed up.

The magnitude of this game was off the charts. It was absolutely exciting and nerve rattling. I'm still puzzled on why Paige took part, and how she performed basically hurt. She single handly defiled destiny for the wolfpack women and willed her team to victory. Only she knows...That one game...altered draft picks and changed people lives for better or worst. It's now history and will played back as an classic!

Lol. Commentator Ryan Ruocco is the jinx king. After Paige made a few in OT, every time she touches the ball looking to shoot Ryan chimes in “She hasn’t missed yet in OT.” Defensively “Edwards and Ododa have four fouls, another one they foul out” again and again. This guy seems like he’d be that tool in the dugout of a pitcher working on a perfect game repeatedly saying in the late innings “Wow. They haven’t gotten a hit off you yet.” “You haven’t been hit yet.”

Same, I love the way she shoots. It’s so smooth. Most of her shots are nothing but net. She even has some where she doesn’t touch the rim or the net and it goes perfectly through the hoop. She’s amazing I can’t wait to see this coming up season when she comes back to the court

This arena, which is in Bridgeport CT, should have Sacred Heart University's basketball team here as a tenant besides the AHL's Bridgeport Islanders. It had the Fairfield Stags until they got their new home arena. It should now have the Pioneers should SHU grow even more.

She had just got back.. she wasn’t gonna be able to play like she always has. It took time and she still had to take care of her knee even on the court. Relax. She did good this game
And Paige wasn’t the “3 point” shooter. Her best spot in those years was mid court.

They are both smart, talented players. But right now, after the BYU/Duke volleyball game with the girl “forced” into race-hustling by her Godmother [Lesa Pamplin] because she’s running for office and a known racist. But Dawn Staley still canceled games with them even after there was no evidence but Rachel’s “word”. Which even none of her own teammates corroborated. We all know she’s lying. And even after Dawn was made aware that this girl is Miss Juicy Smooyeah, she’s still holding to it, instead of correcting her mistake. I don’t want her as USA’s head coach anymore. I don’t care how good she is, and she’s obviously good. But if you’re going to support division, you have no place on the most diverse country’s team as the one in charge. Edit: Dawn Staley would probably start Henny in front of Paige Bueckers. I’d bet money.

How ironic. He, as a man, has been able to do what no other female coach has done.
if you’re talking about the blonde lady, that’s CD (Chris Dailey) she’s been Geno Auriemma’s coach partner for decades now in UCONN she even takes over coach geno whenever he’s not feeling well or unavailable for some reason, they do have a good relationship w each other… and yes she’s the one to control geno’s anger most of the time 😂 there’s a lot of clips like that from the past

@@assouankoffi9456 If you actually watched the two games at Bridgeport, Piath was on campus. She had class on Friday which meant she had to miss practice, but Geno gave her his full support to miss these two games to focus on academics.

The same way you searched for a womens game is the same way you can search for mens, fruit cup
Classic example of what often happens when a higher ranked team has no tradition of playing in big games and being a winning program for decades goes up against a team that it actually not as talented, but has a long tradition and history of playing in big games and winning. The game was there for the taking by North Carolina, but they were clueless on how to take it; they were hoping UConn would somehow just give it to them. NCS should have won, but in the end, didn't know how to, so didn't deserve it.
NC State had couple of questionable players, at least 3 players looked like men played like men and moved like men, I wonder!

You should be proud of their referee manipulation. It was masterful. The Gamecocks didn’t get called for fouling, even though they did, until they were up 15 pts. Then, when UConn got it down to 5, back to the protective, and selective, calling to ensure the Gamecocks win. That game was shameful and OBVIOUS!
