According to Bikerush Shocktrepet was sick when he played against Masterleaf. He even had to postpone the matches because of how sick he was
Man I was even rooting for Shocktrepet.
I wanted to see that underdog comeback. Hopefully that doesnt happen again on the next tournament.
Watching there match it was obvious he was off his game while playing with the mistakes he was making each match. With mis-clicking and slow to respond to things. So I can imagine it was frustrating being sick and loosing with such mistakes.

These were some great games but I can't help but feel that masterleaf literally threw away most of his games with Futurama. The masterleaf I saw against others in this tournament, before this best of 13 was completely different compared to what I just saw.
Still its great seeing you Sybert casting. Always fun :)
But one must remember that Masterleaf, is also a player of unorthodox methods. It feels like, with him, it's not so much the outcome that's fun for him, but the process.
Wow... These matches were crazy and intense. How I wish Kane's Wrath could've been as popular as SC2, and had sponsors to pool in for the cash prizes....

New to the channel and competitive C&C. Usually watch SC and SC2 but was recommended Sybert channel by the holy algorithm. So happy I was. Lovely casts and a fantastic tournament.
Don't know how it was done during this tournament but I would love to be able to donate money to the prize pool. Amazing that someone gave a 1000 bucks to make this happen but I think the community can increase it a bit further. (As mentioned, completly new to C&C competitive scene so this might already be the case in many tournaments.)

That brutal execution at 1:48:00 executed by the Prodigy combined with the conyard cap followed by dropping a storm tower right beside Shocks NOD airtower thus rendering the building he most recently constructed and also the best counter to the Prodigy was ridiculous.
Shoktrepet really good showing this tournament. Masterleaf from my understanding had bad lag issues as well. Russia (I think that's where Futurama is from) to Australia is literally one end of the world to the other, so lag issues gonna happen for sure especially in a Micro heavy game like C&C. Still great showing and thanks Sybert for casting.

What an Incredible Championship it was... I love.. I almost cry... And so many Emotions I got watching these amazing thrilling games! I was little bit sad that my Favourites Masterleaf and Drive lost but anyway Congratulations to Futurama for incredible Play!

I would honestly love to see a tournament that bans traveler 59 from it, it's just so cheesy what you can pull off compared to the conventional games you get with other factions. It's just new gameplay that counters a lot of factions and there's not much you can do about it since it's instant mind control. Ridiculous.

Hexapod phase/blink is just way too easy to abuse. Doesn't seem very balanced, and almost impossible to counter.
How big the file of a 3 and a half hour 4K video is when you're uploading it? Again, really appreciate you're uploading 4K. Hats off.
55 gigs. So for the entire 14.5 hours of videos for the whole tournament it was around 225 gigs.

The grand final is super underwhelming especially with all the mirror matches. The rest of the games are all fantastic.
There's a reason why I combined these matches instead of letting the grand finals be its own video.

Well I think overall that was the best tournament I have seen on this channel. Despite the games involving masterleaf and futurama vs anyone or eachother (Aside their first set vs eachother, upper finals I think) being disappointing to watch for the most part, but not unskillful gameplay, it had consistently so many good series. I was sad to see Drive drop out after that series of games they pulled in the lower final brackets (My favourite episode by far - MCV sell into Ravagers, the boi was my beloved after that win!) But then Shocktrepet played so well that I was rooting for them immediately afterwards. Shame it seems their game was off afterwards against Masterleaf and it seems contagious in that Masterleaf was off in the finale.
Guess a disappointing finish but it doesn't eclipse Just how good this tournament as a whole was. Phenomenal from all, and some of the best games I have seen.

All over the world. In this event there were players from at least: Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Spain, Ukraine, Russia. I'm sure there's many other countries as well.

The Scrin are way more technologically advanced than GDI and NOD, so you can understand why they always have the edge and are a bit overpowered. Its not very fun though.
It's frustrating to just watch much less play against them.
How do you guys avoid the Out of Sync issue?

Honestly the game turned up to max looks 90% as good as what you see. There is a 4K texture pack that you can install: www.moddb.com/games/cc-kanes-wrath/addons/4k-add-on-installer
Also you can go into Nvidia control panel (or AMD equivalent) and adjust the application 3D settings for the game.

And what do you know, times and times again I see Masterleaf get to almost the end, yet then he gets tilted slightly and lets it all burn in the flames.
I always and still believe that Masterleaf is better than Bike, and for the last three or four years he has been making it so hard for me to keep believing.
I believe im not, nor am I interested in being that nowadays. I don't really care if I lose something like this.

in Masterleaf and futuramaa 3rd game all the beam cannon masterleaf build got turn into avatar upgrade
Friends, I think that all factions and units of the aliens (Scrin), especially the air units, are overpowered. Is it just me or is the game specifically designed like this?
Was really fun seeing this tourney from start to finish. Very happy for Futurama, esp after what he went thru. This is my headcanon but I'd like to think leaf didn't put too much effort in the last round to give him a win (unofficial rivalry ship?).
I was disappointed by the lack of faction diversity. We only saw one Reaper, two or three ZOCOM, a few Scrin and Nod, some BH and the rest are Trav, MoK and GDI in that order. It's really boring especially in a long tourney like this.
I hope we see a ruleset that forces faction change from game to game, or at least mirrors like the tourney we had last year iirc. Most of these players are really creative, and I'd love to see what they can do with the other factions.
At least it wasn't all GDI mirrors.
Also compared to SC2 and other RTS that only have 2-3 factions it seems fine.
@@OneSybert I only follow C&C competitive but I assume you’re right, yea. It’s definitely better than RA3.
It’s just boring seeing the same tactics over and over, esp from GDI. I pretty much saw the same 4 or so comps throughout all their games. At least with a flame or disint rushes it can be a win or bust which is exciting.
Anyways, thanks for the players, backstage peeps and you for contributing to this, was really fun. Just hoping for more forced faction switch tourneys in the future.

Assuming something like OpenSAGE takes off, do you think the community would be more amenable to fan patches focusing on bettering balance? For context, OpenSAGE is akin to OpenRA for the 3D C&C games.
I love this game, I love that it is still being played like this. But this video in particular makes one thing clear for me.
The horrendous (internal) balancing of Scrin, and in particular the gagantic absence of Reaper in its entirety.
I get sick and tired of watching every Scrin being a Traveler faction, and I am sick and tired that Reaper-17 is (prsumably) so horribly underwhelming that it never shows up. They could make Marked of Kane (my favourite faction) work and put on the forefront, please... for the love of all gods... Fix Scrin, and fix Reaper, because it's just getting beyond rediculous.

I still wonder why aren't player sell their structure when it is a certain destroy, Isn't selling is instant in C&C 3 ?
They either want the extra time of their opponent killing that building or they're busy doing something else. Sometimes they will sell at the last second, but usually you're busy doing something else.

I got an Idea for a tournament: unlikely, þat it will be seen here in þe comment section but I felt like pointing it out as to not let it fly past.
Wouldn't be a faction tournament a great idea?
As in we have 3 players who play exclusively Scrin, 3 players, who play exclusively NOD and 3 players, who play exclusively GDI.
Þen everyone will go up against every oþer person once and at þe end þe price pool will be divided amongst þe faction members, who were able to score þe most victories for þeir faction.
For instance : if Scrin wins 15 out of þe resulting 36 matches NOD 12 and GDI 9 þen Scrin wins and a Price pool of 210 dollareedoos would be divided by 3 and þatvwould be 70 £ for each scrin player.
Sort of a team tournament, but where the teams are also faction mains. I feel like this has been done in SC2, but not C&C. Could be interesting.
All the games were great until you see those cheap ass T59 tactics again. Easiest way to take any fun out of a game
I would agree with some of the earlier T59 matches in this event, but this last video the T59 games were just playing to the strength of Traveler not abusing the hexapod like in some of the earlier rounds.
Just finished the tournament, have to agree, it was great to see the real skill of the players come out, really sucked me back into the whole thing. Are the factions pre-discussed?
I don't think anyone selected random in any game I casted from this event. So they know what the matchup is going into the game.
Futurama definitely didnt deserve it with how much he relied on hexalaming...

1:42:10 beam canons are the perfect counter. dmg range and speed. they roast those flies no matter where they go with pin point precision!
