That’s a lot of stairs! A nice up close view of the falls.
Oh man, that was a lot of stairs for us especially after we already climbed so many stairs a day prior at the Flume Gorge. Our legs were very mad at us and it took us many days to recover.

Hello. Most guests spend an average of 1.5-2 hours exploring the Gorge and boulder caves. The self-guided walk includes over 1,000 stairs and is 1-mile long.
Boy you two must have legs of steel after all those stairs. 😂 That has to one if the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. I’m a big fan of the sound of moving water. Falls, rivers, ocean waves, so I would really love to hike there. What would you say was more strenuous? The hike at Torrey Pines in California, or this place? Between hiking Flume Gorge the day before and having to hike Lost River Gorge a couple of times because of the lost iPhone incident, we got jello legs. We realized we are too old to hike the two gorges back to back. We think Torrey Pines is more strenuous. It is steeper and has no shade but it is shorter. We also love the sound of moving waterfalls, rivers, and ocean waves. Hey !! We are similar!!!
