Yeah, only ones who are brave enough to do that are celebrities or actors who have already established their name and career. Yet even then, they still get called out every now and then lol
We don't expect that the live vocal to perfectly match the recorded track. This is no issue for us since we have confidence in the vocal ability of the singers. What is important is that singers are actually singing the song. Pretending to sing is tantamount to betrayal of the Filipinos' natural talent and passion for singing.
I don’t even know about auto tone until it was mentioned by Waleska sometime last year. I always assumed that true artists ( excluding those who sings just to promote a movie) sings live in concerts.

I love how you both always acknowledge the skills that Filipino artists possess... A lot of Filipinos, personally, just grew up with a musical environment so the adlibs and harmonizations are at a point, becomes instinct... I do it randomly with my sister in the car and it's normal... no practice necessary... Also, artists not having in-ears are also very normal, IMO, in the Philippines... Growing up there, I never really saw in-ears, even when I watch all videos of Filipino artists in concert... Filipinos will really just learn and sing and harmonize/adlib in the moment from what they are hearing from their ears and not an in-ear monitor.. So watching foreigners always amazed with what comes almost naturally to Filipino singers is always funny and an eye opener for me.

There might be a misunderstanding on what autotune truly is. On songs autotune is used po, it's not a bad thing, it's just there to mix the vocals properly with the instrumental aside from the vocals being Compressed and Mastered on the Track (depending on the DAW they are using like Ableton, ProTools and the Presets applied etc.) Some refer autotune as T-Pain sound or the common RAP style vocal (like skusta clee) but it is more than just that, Well true it will sound like that if done or applied too much on the Vocal Recording. But without autotune, the vocals will sound raw and imagine singing on your phone and Compile it in the instrumental compressed but unfiltered (no autotune) it will sound like a Karaoke cover or just simply plain and boring, and without autotune, parts of your vocals sounding FLAT or SHARP will not be corrected. On the other Hand, In Live performances it's obvious that autotune will NOT be used, ESPECIALLY when Filipino Singers do such performances but Backtracks might be the solution in times when you can't reach a note while performing, it is a safe move. But autotuning Live performances exists (Rosalía and A LOT of Kpop groups use this, and the Most Famous ones, I'm not even going to mention them). in terms of BINI, they are exceptional both in Live performances and In Recorded/Mastered Format so there is literally no question in terms of their vocal capability.

Almost all pro singers in Philippines sing live coz if they can't they would be criticize real bad...the only people who can do lip sync here that doesn't have a backlash that big are actors.

Auto tune means your are cancelled at least here in PH
They use backtrack which is normal for a sing and dance group. Very known used by KPOP as well but PPOP always sing LIVE, mic is always ON.
