I started skateboarding again at 30 (I skated a bit as a kid). In less than a year I’ve had a bunch of fun, landed lots of tricks, and lost quite a bit of weight. Have a great time!
The sad part about this park is that our city council hates it. They're all old and still have outdated views of skateboarding thinking they're only up to trouble. They want to scrap it and make it into tennis courts...that no one will use! Anyway, glad you came by, it's surreal to see you skate in my town!

Just finished watching one of Dale Deckers videos and he’s the reason I’m getting my first board at 30!! Came straight from the video with you in it and I was like that “That’s it! I have to get a board” 😁❤️

Cariuma are the best shoes I’ve had easily, I’ve work them even in snow water just because Ive had nothing else, and these shoes are still kicking and don’t even have a hole in them. I’ve been skating them hard for around 4-5 months now and that’s crazy
This is from their website: “Upper: Triple-stitch, premium suede & organic cotton canvas” So they are not 100% vegan since they use suede. Just in case anyone that’s vegan wants to skate these.
Also, I am just pointing this out since John mentioned that he is a Vegan and that’s why he likes the insole, and he also mentioned that the canvas is made of organic cotton. Not sure if he got sent a vegan version of the shoes, but the ones he links in the description do not mention being vegan. So i only wanted to inform people who are vegan in case they were looking at these because of it. I have no ill intentions towards John or anything.
Also my honest opinion of Cariuma is it's an amazing shoe. I unfortunately had a production defect where the flap by the first lace going into the toe cap separated almost immediately, they were willing to replace them if I sent them back but I just decided to liquid stitch them and keep riding because they're my only pair of shoes and can't afford to wait. (I'm cheap and don't own a new pair until my old ones are completely thrashed). Right away the board feel was amazing, they're fairly low sole profile yet seem to still provide tons of impact protection with the insoles. Very minimal wear on the suede after skating them for about a week. The more you skate them obviously the better they get. The grip is bar none the best I've had in a shoe, even with my worn down griptape on my current board it still flicks and grabs like I just put on a new strip of Jessup. I prefer everything to be as sticky as possible so this was a HUGE plus for me. Also they look great, I hope they release some more sweet colorways for the high tops as well; because I'm a boomer and my ankles get shit on easily. Overall they're my second favorite shoe next to the Emerica Romero. If they ever make a full toe cap model I'd be set on Cariuma for sure.
Gotta love the Texas winds! I literally filmed myself being pushed uphill last week in Plano. Lol. Haven’t tried these shoes yet but have seen complaints about the insoles compacting quickly.
