Watched this when it came out and have started a boss line on PVE official servers. I have 49 health, and 61 melee before any mutations to start. Thanx for showing their potential, I'm excited to have a boss team aside with them from the standard Rex's.

I feel like now that they are breedable basilisks are serious candidates for bosses and not just underdogs. with more than double the hp of a rex and only a little less damage they have a lot going for them.
This video reminds me the basilisks me and my tribemate mutated back on ASE (we had the better dino mod, that allowed us to breed them). I had no doubts it was one of the best boss crreatures in this video :P I used them back on ASE and they're amazing! I'm glad now everyone can breed and fully mutate them in vanilla! It's an amazing creature!
@Boomsmith this sounds interesting! I always used megalos back on ASE. On ASA I'm just chilling and taking my time x) no bossed fought yet 🙈 But I used basilisks for the other bosses and with the poison spit enabled. That thing is dangerous lol
@Boomsmith they only take rock drake eggs currently to tame, altho in future maps they should be able to take wyvern/magmasaur eggs. Just want to save someone throwing spino eggs to one on abb and wondering why it isn't eating them lol. Their taming is a bit different than titanoboas, which is what I assume you were comparing them too. I do wonder if for this fight did you have the alt attacks enabled? I know that poison shot does some insane damage but didn't see if they were shooting anything in the vids
@Boomsmith unfortunate! I know I have some around like 900% melee and that poison shot hits for like 1300. Not that they needed more damage lol but with breeding these things have become monsters
Just got through you original 38 vids for island creatures love the series! Have you ever done a redo of carnos? I feel they really suffered from being early in your list and would have done far better with everything you learned about the bosses and the ai through the series.
I consider Corrupted Master Controller on Alfa difficulty located on Genesis Part 1 the hardest boss in ARK game. I can confidently say that aside from Therizinos other creatures will really struggle to beat this boss on Alfa.

@@Boomsmith Genuinely assumed that their drag weight was too high or they would be disqualified with the burying thing. Kind of want to give them a go.
I expect that the basilisk is going to be terrible in the tek cave. Great that they did so well though. I always suspected they were good, but I know that they also have some serious shortcomings, particularly around elevation changes.
Due to a glitch I once had a basilisk with 7 k melee and around 50k health I used it and a tribmate on a yuty to obliterate bosses.....main reason I didn't use other tames was with 7k melee the acid breath would one shot my other tames if they got in it's path
appreciated the last segment. Also, do you plan on taking ascension bosses with the top scorers like you did last time? i would never try maneuvering those basilisk in the tek cave lol, maybe manticore or rockwell. you should even consider fight the extinction titans if it really is coming out in december
The basilisks were never underdogs lol. They are about as strong as wyverns. I'd like to see the real underdogs form aberration next aka the ravagers. I like the message at the end and I hope everyone watching has a good one.

In theory, but tbh you’d be unbelievably lucky to get the stats he starts his Dinos with before mutations, it’s a grind to find stuff with 30-40 in a decent stat let alone 50 in melee or health, so realistically it would just require more mutations to reach his numbers

Slight correction. The lvl of the egg doesn't affect their taming % at all. A lvl 50 egg tames the same as a lvl 190
Right, I meant like.. rex eggs and giga eggs will be better than dodo eggs. I'll do better with my wording next time!
