No there is no overunity. And yes, output is greater than input. It converts gravitational energy to a mechanical. To lift one kg to 1 meter in one second you need 10 joules. That is 10W od power. This pendulum has weight of 1300kg. Other side lifts around 30cm per second. Let's assume other side has weight od 1400kg. To lift it at 1m in one second it is required 14kW. So, it is 4200W to lift it 30cm in one second. I don't think you need 10th of that power for that piston to maintain the oscillation. Correct me if I am wrong, please.
@Nabo00o the way I see it hydraulics... is the means by which mechanical energy can best be transferred from one place to another. Air is compressible and therefore you have losses. Hydraulics exerts equal force in all directions and if properly designed is the perfect mechanism to feed back a given motion. Put a hydraulic cylinder on the work end of things (The end with the rack gears) and route it to another cylinder which will be your feedback cylinder.

Just as you can use weight to balance the Milkovic device you could use the resistance of the hydraulic system in combination with shortening or lengthening the lever to achieve this balance. @mdlarouche I suppose you attach another lever at the end of the second cylinder to obtain that but I think the way I described it could do the trick... and there are minimal moving parts and no need to add another device like a motor to compress air. Not one of them has actually published values of intput and out energy. .The pendulum is a gravity powered device it is claimed and what is not realised or at least not stated in the many excellent videos, is that the energy input dur to gravity is zero. Gravity accelerates the mass for one half of its movement and declerates it for the other half . The only energy keeping the pendulum oscillating is the drive or input energy. The output in whatever form this may take whether maehcnical or electricol of any other is always less that the input. What is however achieved is torque amplification or force amplification and this is confused with energy amplification which is an impossiblilty no matter what configuration is deployed, whether an oscillating pendulum or rotating pendulun , whether single arm or double arm , horizontal or vertical configurationn the output is and must always be less than the input energy no matter what.
Really you should have the mass swinging from its small end put the mass vertical so it’s length Is vertical not horizontal. You will get a larger swing creating more power.

Its inertia becomes apparent when you want to push things fast and get a fast response, like in this situation.

Really all this contraption is a clock! with the compressed air cylinder providing the impulses replacing the escapement. An interesting dynamic problem indeed, but certainly not an energy generator!! It is an expensive manner to create an uncalibrated clock, or a machine to move the air around that room. you are just missing fly wheel and generator or compressor piston, other side of pendulum has unstoppable power but it is not used,,also harvesting system would be more efficient if you have a compression piston going upward and controlled pressure in cylinder, instead of that big metal contrary weight that just waste exes energy... ,there is other video on this channel no.14 , where this guys are watching each other in wonder after trying to stop that wheel from turning, it could compress 100 times more air than used to swing it...could make a tank and blow air turbine

@mdlarouche I suppose you attach another lever at the end of the second cylinder to obtain that but I think the way I described it could do the trick... and there are minimal moving parts and no need to add another device like a motor to compress air. In my opinion you might be able to get it going with air if done correctly but the whole idea of making this work at all would be to do it from within.

The purpose of this machine, I believe, is to achieve greater output than input. In this case, input is pneumatic actuator(powered by compressor) and output is mechanical hummer, with force greater than actuator. This machine is made as a copy of idea of serbian scientist Veljko Milkovic.
Many researchers, experimenters and inventors have built excellent working madhines. Not one of them has actually published values of intput and out energy. .The pendulum is a gravity powered device it is claimed and what is not realised or at least not stated in the many excellent videos, is that the energy input dur to gravity is zero. Gravity accelerates the mass for one half of its movement and declerates it for the other half . The only energy keeping the pendulum oscillating is the drive or input energy. The output in whatever form this may take whether maehcnical or electricol of any other is always less that the input. What is however achieved is torque amplification or force amplification and this is confused with energy amplification which is an impossiblilty no matter what configuration is deployed, whether an oscillating pendulum or rotating pendulun , whether single arm or double arm , horizontal or vertical configurationn the output is and must always be less than the input energy no matter what.
Really you should have the mass swinging from its small end put the mass vertical so it’s length Is vertical not horizontal. You will get a larger swing creating more power.
@mdlarouche You could use a closed loop system with no reservoir or external hydraulic pump actuated with solenoid directional control valves. With one hydraulic cylinder attached to the power end as I said ...The lever is acting as your pump. Two cylinders connected in this fashion acts like your typical bottle jack. Well I think hydraulics has it problems too. The biggest being that it has a lot of mass that needs to be moved, while air doesn't suffer that much even though tightly compressed. Its inertia becomes apparent when you want to push things fast and get a fast response, like in this situation.

OK now make the larger weight a large coil of copper wire and have it swing between two magnets, see if it generates enough electricity to drive the hydrolic piston !? If the piston was tuned correctly, you wouldn't spend anymore energy doing it each time than periodically. The total energy consumed would be the same.

@ZoeMarks ~ If you have two carboys, one upright, the other inverted, two rubber bungs each with two holes, some flexible hose, and glass tubes, It is possible to have a perpetual fountain from the second 'upturned' carboy back to the first. If water is used, the fountain will only last a day or two, because dissolved oxygen upsets the balance of liquids, but if a 'non-drying' oil (olive oil) is used, the fountain will keep going for years. Really all this contraption is a clock! with the compressed air cylinder providing the impulses replacing the escapement. The pivot of the conventional pendulum is normally fixed and stationary where effect of the weight plus centrifugal force at the lowest point and the weightlessness at the two higher levels of the pendulum are not normally seen. In this case due to the pivot point of the pendulum being attached to a moving upper beam, and is balanced by the counterweight on the other side, the counterweight is being " driven" but the varying effective weight of the pendulum and the centrifugal force acting at any time. An interesting dynamic problem indeed, but certainly not an energy generator!! It is an expensive manner to create an uncalibrated clock, or a machine to move the air around that room. It would be interesting to model the energy that is being transferred to the counterbalance weight and what it is due to at any point in time.

Could be improved with two strong magnets instead of the air-pressure thing. One magnet with an iron-plate on the pendulum and one on the axis with a ripped metal-plate and a mechanism to push it aside. This way you can make use of the pulling and pushing effect of the magnets.

you are just missing fly wheel and generator or compressor piston, other side of pendulum has unstoppable power but it is not used,,also harvesting system would be more efficient if you have a compression piston going upward and controlled pressure in cylinder, instead of that big metal contrary weight that just waste exes energy... ,there is other video on this channel no.14 , where this guys are watching each other in wonder after trying to stop that wheel from turning, it could compress 100 times more air than used to swing it...could make a tank and blow air turbine
