was not gonna comment on this 3 year old video (i just discovered you guys in june 2023) until you did a marty song from the gunfighter ballads album... Great murder ballad. grew up with more western than country and totally obsessed with marty. Dad was in the navy. Brought home a sons of erin cassette from a deployment that took him to nova scotia. That was my first introduction to irish music. Now, over 40, i've had a few deep dives in to sean nos and 60s through early 80s irish folk revival stuff... Was in a band with a half salvadorian half boston irish friend in which we did a weird mix of nueva cancion and mostly irish rebel songs... basically anything hard left leaning... Anyway... you guys kick ass... and i'm totally looking forward to hearing any and everything you have available... Now you're playing an american mining song...? You guys are so fucking awesome... To me, you seem like you're carrying the torch, picking up where wolfe tones or the dubliners left off but... somehow you seem much older... and with even more of a punk aspect than the pogues could've hoped for... I've been calling it nueva sean nos for lack of a better description... You've totally accomplished and surpassed what the various folk revivals of the 50s through 70s set out to do... and i'm totally enthralled. Can't wait to exhaust everything you have to offer thus far and eagerly await anything new...

🤔So I robbed applegreens to with an inch of its life....I filled me whalin' ship to the gunnells wid all manner of finerys....I managed to get away clean😔 but me pal got taken, anyways the long nd short of it is the guards had to eventually let him go without charge ciz he showed em this vid nd sed he had it on good authority nd was informed by the Mary Wallopers it was totally OK to do....legally they didn't have a leg to stand on, but they did say they'd be looking to recover any losses from the Wallopers....I sent em to Owenies, sed you'll find em there everyday drinking liquor so rare from opening time until.....well opening time😂😅😂😜

Those Mary Wallopers lads and Lassie are giving very bad examples to young and fully growing people and also older people like myself, if you look at the state of their trousers long trousers wearing short legs above the shoes and boots, unusual haircuts, always happy smiley people, while behavior on stage and I have heard also while behavior offstage Those Mary Wallopers think that they can get away with anything by just playing brilliant folk music and rocking hard on stage, I've noticed important Garda Siochana signs hang on the wall, did that sign given or was it accidentally rescued from the side of the road, drinking Guinness and beer in their office early in the day, leaning an incomplete bar made from pallets of rough timber, I have many more complaints to make against the Mary Wallopers band of lads and lassie but they will have to wait until I listen to some more of their excellent music
