Talk about quick reflexes! He got lucky spotting the fire early, as this would have gotten ugly fast. Flammable homes and the risk of igniting a wildfire nearby, NEVER a good mix. Glad that it was still a small fire where it caused no damage to the body and mechanisms, and was able to be put out quick without it spreading. The Anaheim team never fails to impress.
Wow, Talk about On top 911 dispatchers! A similar Thing happened to me a Few Weeks Ago With The bulk collection truck, It is definitely a strange and somewhat Scary situation. Glad you filmed this, The Anaheim Team is great!
Yeah this was an uncertain situation, thankful the fire department and police responded fast. Republic Services was on top of the cleanup efforts, too, I can't believe how late they stayed out to finish it.
I would’ve had no idea what to do in this situation because I use an IPad which doesn’t have cellular data so I wouldn’t have been able to call the fire department nor the police. Thank goodness you film with a phone
I had a fire like this a couple months ago crazy situation I'm in AZ so a lot of empty dirt lots even in a big city like Mesa where it happened got to the dirt lot and dumped it
Everyone was okay, and the truck itself didn’t get damaged since it was the trash that caught fire and it got contained pretty quickly once they dumped the recycle in the street.
No this is part of Mentado's Thursday route. After he does your area, he has more route on the other side of Brea Blvd. He's got a very big Thursday route. It's unfortunate the fire happened towards the end of the route.
Yeah 2402 had broke down earlier and there wasn't much regular trash in the truck so they just sent Luis over to finish Mentado's route lol. I personally still don't know what caused the fire.
My trash driver Lupe always tell my neighbors do not put any flammable stuff in your recycling cart in La Habra Heights they don’t do that I said he told me just reminding your neighbors Drew I said ok this fine

Wow 2972 was lucky to escape with no damage. Great job to the officers and Brea Fire Department’s Station 1 crew
1:55 here comes 2402 to the rescue 👍🏻
Omg this was good wish I was there with u to film the mess
But congrats to the druver that he noticed right away!
Wait we have a 2973 That’s 2972!? Where did this truck come from? The RR. Our days “Long Beach”
Yes 2972 came from Long Beach as well. They sent some of their 2013 units away. I guess 2973 ended up in NorCal. We also have 2970 and 2978.
OMG NOT MY RECYCLING TRUCK!!
0:14 iv never heard a autocar make that sound
Because the fire ruined the sound
No it sounded like that before this happened
It sounds likea condor
@@jovanholland36 yes it does

Great Video Tyler, Was this filmed at Pepper Dr?
Thanks! No, this was in the Thursday route near Central Ave
Kinda like the Elk Grove incident
But worst
Oh wow that’s pretty crazy, at least nowone got hurt.
Damn man that sucks but atleast a ZR went
wow !! was the truck and people all ok ? my yard had a truck fire the whole truck was burnt besides the tailgate so it was saved
Everyone was okay, and the truck itself didn’t get damaged since it was the trash that caught fire and it got contained pretty quickly once they dumped the recycle in the street.
OH NO NOT A 🔥. Did the zr finish the recycle ♻️ root?
Yes, the ZR and another Heil Rapid Rail came by to finish the recycle route.
Dude what route is this? Is this my route? Is this the Monday route? It looks like the Monday route

Woah 😨
I just realized Luis was mixing all this 😔. Did they ever find out what caused the fire?
Yeah 2402 had broke down earlier and there wasn't much regular trash in the truck so they just sent Luis over to finish Mentado's route lol. I personally still don't know what caused the fire.
My trash driver Lupe always tell my neighbors do not put any flammable stuff in your recycling cart in La Habra Heights they don’t do that I said he told me just reminding your neighbors Drew I said ok this fine
How did that happen
Not sure, all I know is smoke started coming out of the truck. Could have been from flammable material like a battery or coals from a fire.
Dang
Is that Luis trash route or was he just helping mentado?
Lupe does trash in this section. Luis had just finished his trash route and came over here to finish off Mentado’s route.
