The Book of Acts begins on the note of a promise being fulfilled. Jesus had asked his disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they got the power that was promised to them. They had to wait until they received the Holy Spirit in their lives in order to carry out the commands of Jesus. They could not do what he asked them to do until He had given him what the Father had promised.
And so they waited patiently. They did not know how long would they have to wait, but they had to wait. While waiting they were praying with everyone. They also had to make wise decisions for the days ahead and thus their ten days were spent waiting hopefully and waiting prayerfully.
Pastor Paul talks about this waiting and the result it had on the people and the effect it creates upon us as we also wait for God’s promise. He also talks about what is the heart of the gospel and how it is presented to us in the very first chapter of the Book of Acts.
This book is not just a book full of historical facts but it contains vital information as we wait on God in this hour and age.
प्रेरितों के काम की पुस्तक एक वायदे के पूरा होने की बात से शुरू होती है. यीशु अपने चेलों से यरूशलेम में तब तक ठहरे रहने को कहता है जब तक उन्हें वो सामर्थ न मिले जिसकी प्रतिज्ञा उनसे की गयी थी. उन्हें अपने जीवन में यीशु मसीह की आज्ञाओं को पूरा करने के लिए पवित्र आत्मा पाने तक यरूशलेम में इंतज़ार करना था. यीशु मसीह की आज्ञाओं को पिता के वायदे के बिना पूरा करना असंभव था.
और इसलिए वे धीरज के साथ इंतज़ार करते रहे. उन्हें नहीं पता था की कितने समय तक इंतज़ार करना पड़ेगा, पर वो इन्तेज़ार करते रहे. इंतज़ार का समय वे दूसरो के साथ प्रार्थना करते हुए बिता रहे थे. उन्हें आने वाले दिनों के लिए ज्ञानपूर्ण निर्णय भी लेने थे, इसलिए वो दस दिन आशा और प्रार्थना में उन्होंने बिताये.
पॉ. पॉल इस सन्देश में ठहरे रहने के विषय, और उसका क्या नतीजा चेलों को मिला, उसके विषय में बतातें हैं. साथ ही साथ, वह यह भी बताते है किस रीति से यह इंतज़ार का समय हमें बदलता है, जब हम परमेश्वर के वायदे का इंतज़ार करते हैं. वे सुसमाचार का तत्व क्या है, जिसका बयान हम पहले अध्याय में देखते है, उसके बारे में भी बात करते हैं.
यह पुस्तक सिर्फ ऐतिहासिक तथ्यों से भरी पुस्तक नहीं है. इसमें आज के समय और युग में जीने की लिए ज़रूरी जानकारी भी परमेश्वर ने दी है.
