I suggest you watch a few cleaning videos. More muzzleloaders destroyed by not enough cleaning than any other cause. Cleaning it as good as you think is possible. Looks brand new looking down the barrel and go back in a week or two and you won't believe what comes out of it again. P.S. Stainless steel is not a do all cure all for this, I've seen several stainless barrels destroyed by not cleaning enough too.
I appreciate the comment. I did go back and reclean,, pulled the breach plug and so forth and cleaned it up even more. I agree though, if guns aren't cleaned well, especially muzzleloaders, they will be ruined fast.
