just to get it clear i used to post news opens on this channel (icycoolstudios) but then after youtube redid the comments to keep my personal ways with my channel i made another (i also happened to start moving my news opens to there) so if your a person who now watches me for my mc vids welcome to one of my other interests XD local tv stuff

yesterday wwl annonced they would start using the new gannet graphics on their newscasts and i think they are the last gannet station to switch (for good reason too) however i do like the new graphic design it doesnt fit the trademark light blue colors that have been wwl's trademark forever (others were the 3d clock and Spirit of Louisiana tag that got steam ironed out in belo's graphics mandate in 2012 which other than that belo's graphics seriously fit wwl's read personality) we know wwl is an older style no tabloid station now being forced to use something too cnn with their set which is suited for the old and older graphics (basically a set and graphics clash of a mess) the music is eeeh ok... (in beetween idk if it fits them or not)
i think gannet should let their stations make their own graphics again or at least wwl because this will do nothing but hurt the station
itts also worth noting when it said HD Pinpoint Doppler forget the HD they are using an hd capable radar and graphics since 2008 with the lack of an hd video switcher (which is why since the renderon graphics that their newscasts have had some piece of junk anti alaising quality which anti alaising is meant to stop rough edges and when down converted screws it all up and makes it all ripply)
oh well only way to know is to see how well it goes in the long run

Leave it to WWL to make this awful graphics/music package look and sound halfway decent. It's such a downgrade for them, but I'm actually shocked at how much I don't hate it. But again, that's Channel 4 for you. Sounds like they picked the best cut of the Gannett music package and are making the graphics work pretty well with their look. Thanks for posting this!

In a way it kind fits WWL.. Yes WWL is missing the clock, The Spirit of Louisiana and Louisiana's News Leader. at least they kept VO open. Unlike other Gannett stations have dropped the VO open. I wonder what Angela Hill thinks of this.. I don't think this look will fit WFAA, and KHOU.

scuttlebutt surfaced that gannett and cbs were supposed to become onos but Viacom group w and paramount out bid them wcau Almost became a news duopoly nbc and rca ge wanted no part of that w kyw eyewitness news truthfully wphl being a tribune station and eyewitness news alliance would've made more sense because my Comcast branch dropped cw 57 and kyw when they became cbs 6 action news w phl 17 u see action news adnauseum
