I know the HK45 holds 2 fewer rounds, but that grip in my opinion feels WAY slimmer and nicer than the USP in person. It fills the hand in the middle but tapers significantly toward the top and bottom. I love the USP, but that grip feel difference is very significant.
USP 45 MATCH/LEM HYBRID. ROBAR coated the internals with NP3 coating. Titanium firing pin. Viridian X5L. Perfectly done all the way. The only thing that’s missing is a mission to Shadow Moses island. Lol.
I owned the HK USP 45. It was a great pistol. However, I recently acquired an HK45 Compact Tactical. I have to say there is no comparison! The Compact Tactical with the LEM, bobbed hammer, and other additions make this one of the best shooting pistols (not just 45s) on the market in my humble opinion.
i think its also worth mentioning that the HK45 grew out of the failed HK1911 experiment thus the grip angle and other measurements are roughly the same as the 1911.
Yes, and that is a good catch. I didn't realize till after that I accidently deleted the history portion on the HK45 when making this video. I have it in the HK45 review I did prior to this video, but chopped it out of this one. Thanks for adding that in the comments. I will look at adding an annotation in there or something. Thanks for watching.
I have the USP45 LEM, and I carried it as my duty weapon in law enforcement for several years. I carried it with four extra mags, and yes, the belt and other belt accessories was heavy. This the Cadillac of firearms. I still have it today, and I guess my sone will inherit it when I am gone.
Yes. I very strongly recommend the Match Trigger kit. It is night an day. Both pistols are amazing. The USP 45 is a great choice. I suggest the HK45c mag release, and the Match trigger kit.
When I get back to the states, I will be doing much more with the MK25, it is a great gun. AS for the HK's auto forwarding I know you can do it if you hit any magazine fed gun hard enough. But I think HK saw that their design inherently did it, so they made some small adjustments to make it consistent. It won't do it every time, but enough to almost count on it. The way I feed the mag into the gun, almost always does it. I will say I have my thumb ready just in case.
I ran a HKUSP 45 for 7 years as a duty weapon and never had an issue with it... Dept stopped authorizing it due to armorer schools being too expensive and frequent. Still love a USP!
The USP 45 is a workhorse. Great weapon system. I still shoot it, love it, and trust my life to it. Thanks for watching and the sub man. I appreciate it.
USP has a spell on me..USP 45C 1 with black slide, one stainless. Same in USP45 fullsize 12 rd and a usp expert in 45acp. I just really appreciate the safety measures cooked into their battery of arms. Especially after a life of 1911z's
I had an HK45c. I ended up selling it becasue I did not like the grip...especially when my hands were sweating. I ended up getting a USP9 and USP45. Love them both. Great video.
It shoots very very soft for a 45 and you just know it's built to last. Both are great, but I don't see the USP 45's leaving my inventory, I also have plans for more. Great pistol. A legend for sure.
I was wondering, do you currently have or have ever fired a Mark 23? I'd like to know more about that one (meaning: watch it expelling some bullets through that long barrel!!! XD )
I have owned a USP Compact DA/SA with de-cock .45 since January 1999. I can shoot that thing lights out, even putting 11 of 14 rds in the "little box" at 25 yards. No brag, just fact. I own quite a few other pistols and recently bought a P30 SK light LEM. The are many fine polymer handguns available, but none any finer than HK. If you are thinking of getting an HK, DO IT! You'll be glad you did.
I'm a huge USP fan. I carry a striker fired gun primarily, buy the USP 45 is a fantastic gun. The H&K USP 45 Tactical is one of my dream .45s. The compact tactical is about the same. I sold all my .45s, but if I get another .45 it will likely be a USP. If I decide to carry an H&K it will probably be a P2000 lite LEM.
Thank you for posting this video. You went over exactly the differences I really wanted to know about between these two handguns. I intend to get a Mk 23 because, well, I got really into Metal Gear Solid and that is Solid Snake's gun, so of course. But I also wanted to get either a USP 45 or an HK 45, but I'm not sure about getting both. Thanks to this video, I've made my decision.
hello...my name is Anselmo Sanches, I'm police chief here in Brazil, I have a full size HK45, and I love this gun, I'm also a fan of the 1911, I have 4 of them. Well, last year I had problems with the HK45 magazines, because their feet simply crumbled, of the 5 I have, I'm glad I have a friend who lives there in the USA and he sent me 5 pieces, which I replaced and they were original again, I wanted to know if this defect is common in this weapon??? Thanks for your attention I await your reply. Congratulations on your videos, I follow you all
Thank you for you sharing your experiences. I was searching for a cheap range .45, and living in Glocks homeland there are several available from Glock. But I prefer contoured grips like the HK 45 or the PPQ 45 or slender like a 1911. So I watched your HK45 reviews and others and PPQ 45 reviews and others and whatnot and suddenly by chance a cheap used HK 45 showed up on a forum and I bought it. I dont know if the previous owner ever fired more than a magazine because there are no - even looking with a magnifying glass - no traces of slide, barrel or recoil-guiderod movement. The only tiny marring I could find was on the right side, at the rear slide lug: each slide lug or hook as a tiny bit of polymer in front, and on the right side this is a bit marred. As if the previous owner tried to put on the slide angled, a few times, and drove it with force onto the rear lugs, not hitting the lugs with the slide rail. Poor gun ;-) Anyway, this weekend I will hit the range and see how it does.
No markings on my rail as yet, and I have fired about 1,000 rounds so far with it on there. I have never had an issue, and the battery compartment never fell out. It is a solid light.
Taking one of the two would be a very tough choice, I would say go with the one that fits your best, and if you can shoot them, which one shoots more accurately for you. If you can't shoot them, the USP 45 will be a little cheaper, and parts more available. Plus those 12 rounds of 45acp are very nice to have.
Local shop has a few HK45s just in so I went to chk them out. Its nice but I'm leaning towards the USP 45 full size which they have a bunch of. The added cost with the HK45 I'm not sure. But then again I'm not really in the market yet. I'd like to get an HK in the next few months. So I have plenty of time to research more. Back in 1996 I called HK as a kid and requested they send me a catalog and they sent me a VHS tape which was all about the Mk23 and USP. I'm still trying to track that VHS tape down. My first ever handgun was a USP 40. Great vid!
I caught the HK bug now I have to sell my 1911 and get an HK45, still deciding between the compact or full size, probably just go full size and gain 2 rounds over the 1911. Enjoying the vids, thanks!
If you are a 1911 fan, the HK45 full size is a no brainer. The compact is a great gun, but the full size is in a world of its own. The HK45 feels like a DA/SA 1911 honestly.
navyman8903 ears perked up. I'm in the break in period with a 1600 dollar1911. Last 100 rds had 5 lock ups. Not too happy and the rep for the company said he would put at least 4-500 rds through it before considering it for defense. I know hks run right away. May make the move tomorrow at my local range/shop
I’ve watched this video three times. Thanks for putting it together. It’s the best one explaining HK45 vs USP45. I think I’m leaning towards the HK45. I already own a USP40 LEM. The HK45 feels better in my hands. Losing the two rounds bothers me a little bit. But if I have to go through more than ten rounds on an adversary I got problems. I feel the HK45 is just as bombproof as the USP. The HK USP45 now cost as much as the HK45 did several years ago averaging over $1000 new and the HK45 now averages $700 new. Interesting how they are opposite in price now.
Did you get the HK45? I bought the HK45 Compact first and then the full size. I like the full size a lot better and will buy another full size and probably send the compact down the road for a USP 45.
@@fkrr5 I had to get both. HK45 is more versatile in that it has an integrated rail and doesn't need an adapter or special recoil spring for suppressor use. It is thinner in the grip, so losing two rounds for that nice grip isn't an issue, have an extra 10rd mag or two. The USP 45 is a great nightstand gun. Grip fits me fine, I have large hands, but once again, I'd say the HK45 is more of the multiple role pistol.
You're welcome. I like it when people ask questions, it shows they think. Re the Wolf springs. Several agencies have found, with different guns (including Glocks) that hanging a light on the end, which has the effect of allowing the slide to cycle more efficiently/faster, sometimes causes feeding malfunctions. The solution is usually to just use a heavier mag spring. I actually had an HK tech tell me to buy the Wolf springs. One more thing, Insight has an LED kit for the UTL.
Great video, both awesome guns, but if you could only own one of them which one would you pick? Keep in mind that HK now makes higher cap. mags for both these guns.
They are great weapons, and have never let me down. I think that has something to do with them being addictive.......not sure though. I feel your pain too, I have 9 HK's as of right now, 10 if someone doesn't buy this P30L LEM before pay day..........I have a problem....
Superb video as usual for your channel. The range time up front is a nice addition, particularly that you demonstrated the negligible muzzle flip of these fine pistols when handled by an expert shooter. Noteworthy because the Glock fanatics think a low bore axis makes controllable follow-up shots their exclusive domain. All in all, simply outstanding videos...and you're making a lot of HK converts!
Man! Thank You for this information NAVYMAN8903. Because I am looking to get a .45 caliber handgun and those 2 are the only ones I am really considering (and the Mark 23 but that would be mostly for fun shooting) I love the comfort of the HK45 I am just unsure because the USP .45 has been TRIED, TESTED, AND TRUE FOR DECADES! The HK45 hasn’t stood up to the same amount of test of time as the USP .45 but I know that the HK45 will be a good firearm. It’s tough between the 2. But my heart is leaning more towards the HK45 due to the comfort and ergonomics. It’s very good! Just like my HK VP9.
Go with your gut feeling. If the HK45 is what's calling to you and it fits you well, that might be the one to get. Todd G also did his test on it over 50k rounds, detailing the performance.
@@navyman8903 Alright I’ll go watch that. But man… I want those durable Mark 23 components in my .45. That’s why I want the HK USP .45. Not gonna lie, knowing how I am I would not hesitate to get all 3.
@@navyman8903😂 The MK 23 / Mark 23 is like the Porsche 911 Turbo S of the firearm world. If you could ONLY CHOOSE ONE handgun between the HK45 and the HK USP .45 which one would you choose? And why?
@@navyman8903 I feel like the internals are built more durable in the HK USP .45. I like that double recoil spring, 12 rounds, the sleek and smooth slide, and it’s tried and true tested. I am buying the HK USP .45 for its internal durability and I am buying the HK45 because of the feel, it’s newer, the outside / ergonomics. I just question if the HK45 will be able to outlast the HK USP .45. My intuition is telling me that the HK45 won’t outlast the HK USP .45 At the end of the day I want a “Go To War” handgun from HK. The MK 23 / Mark 23 is a little overkill for conceal carry for me so I figure the HK USP .45 would be a wise choice because it has most of the MK 23 / Mark 23’s internal durability components, I’m really digging the double recoil and the simple cannon barrel. Out of the HK45 and the HK USP .45 I just want the one that is going to be the most reliable, dependable and durable in the long haul.
Hi guys, really love the video. i am a hk guy myself. I already own an usp. Since i think the usp is the best all-around gun ever made i want to contribute to this review. As mentioned the USP is not available as fully ambidextrous but you can get it as a lefty or righty gun i.e. V1 right hand V2 left hand shooter. HK also makes ambi. safety levers for the USP. Only the slide release wouldn't be ambi. The mag release always is ambidextrous. BTW there are nine different Variants available. You can convert every USP in whatever Variant you like best. For the 9mm fans there is also a military Variant wich is being made for the German Army (H&K P8). It is fully ambidextrous but other than that just like the usp. It uses plastic mags instead of metal (15+1 round). Oh and the barrel is rifeled differently. Those guns are available to us s military surplus. I hope that answer questions that some guys have asked before. Thanks again for the video
As a HK45t and HK45ct and USP9 owner...I gotta get a UPS 45. The USP 9 is the first handgun I ever bought and when I have been the most out in the wilderness I've hung up my G43 and put my USP on my back. The feel and reliability are unquestionable. Probably my next handgun purchase if the wife doesn't green light a MK23 first.
I personally love the USP simply for the grip. Make that with a pic rail, an optic mount and it will be the best gun on the market. Triggers better, shooting more accurate. That’s just my personal opinion .
Highly agree, idk why they dont. I got a stainless USP 40 compact when i first got my permit about 4 years back for a steal. I ended up selling because i couldnt shoot it accurately and didnt like the 40, stupid move. Ive been trying to get another USP ever since and i just never see them anywhere and if i do happen to see one in a store theyre over a grand. I’d really love to get my hands on a USP 9 for a decent price, H&K are amazing guns
I recently got a HK 45c and I have to say I like my friends usp 45c better. It seems to shoot softer and more accurate in my hands. I was gonna trade the 45c for a full size usp45 with adjustable night sights. Think it's worth it?
HK45c is the best... just ask the SEALs!! :-) The guys who helped design the HK45/45c have stated that they did not like the final design mods to the HK45 full size... the HK45c went virtually unchanged and is a hell of a pistol. Good vid, thanks!!
I watched this video like a month or two ago and went with an hk 45 tac lem but after watching and watching I had to get the usp 45 tactical. I should have gone with the usp but I’m definitely not getting rid of the hk45. Even though hk hates the civilian market they know how to make a damn gun
hi my name is jacob and i am a die hard usp fan i wish these nerds would 3d print more hk style sights like from the 416 but make them cheap and figure out what material will be strong enough for use grip extensions/sleeves as well or update the housing on the old insight m6x style lights and make them fit pic rails and take modern rechargeable batteries and electronics. modernized m6x would be so sick on the usp45
The local gun shop has a USP 45 Tactical and a HK45 Tactical FDE for 1000 bucks...I'm really leaning toward the HK45T because I have a USP9 already and want to add something a little more different to the collection since I'm just getting going so it is really FDE and modern vs match trigger, 2 more rd capacity, and raised sights. Such a tough decision.
My department has been issuing the USP45 and USP45C since 1999. We also have about ten P2000's in .40. We issue UTL's or X300's (with adapters for the USP). X300 is more solid than the UTL, but I like the UTL controls better. There is no frame damage from firing it with the UTL mounted, but I have seen a lot of battery compartments fly off when they weren't properly secured (one of the advantages of the X300). Any problems with feeding (after mounting UTL) get the wolf + mag spring.
Thank you for the support sir, and I appreciate it. I know you will like the HK45, it is a great gun, and will last. The P30 or P30L are also great firearms. They are just built well, fit your hand well, and are fast when you run them. Please let me know how you like them if you don't mind.
I watched this video several times to validate my purchase of the HK45 (and a couple HK45Cs). It didn't work. Now I simply must have a USP45 too! These damn HKs are addictive.
I’ve watched at least 10 videos comparing these 2 firearms. Nearly all of them are so close and it’s like you can’t go wrong with either. In a few though, it seems if there is an overall favorite, it’s the USP by a hair.
No. They will not allow you to carry anything that isn't standard issue. It is mostly for those situations when you run out of ammo, your battle buddies can bring you M9 and M4/16 mags so you can load up and get back in the fight. If you have a USP, and everyone else has an M9, after 45 rounds you are dry, your gun is useless.
HK45 - 21lbs 6.1oz vs USP45 - 21lbs 8.5oz The gun alone.. actually 1oz different between HK45 and USP45 Because HK45 (10 round) vs USP45 (12 round. If you not live in CA) One round of ammo weight is 0.7oz. Two round of ammo weights are 1.4oz HK45 - 21lbs 6.1oz + 1.4oz = 21lbs 7.5oz. USP45 ---------------------------------- 21lbs 8.5oz.
Great video explaining these two classic HK .45 pistols. Ive been going back and forth about getting an HK45 to join my 9mm HK's ( P7M8 and P30), but I think you made me want a USP 45 again. Haven't thought about owning one since the first few seasons of 24 , with Jack Bauer using them haha.
Depends on what you want to do. The Mark 23 is definitely much more expensive. I am hopefully going to get to shoot one here soon. I will let you know what I think. Thanks for watching, and the feedback I appreciate it.
Thank you. I would love to know what you think of the Mark 23. What are your thought on the HK45 vs FNX 45? I held/ compared the FNX tactical to the USP Tactical and I like the feel of the HK more. Although I liked the 15 rd count on the FN, and I didn't like the all black sites on the USP I was looking at. The only place I can't carry is at work. This will mostly be a weekend shooter/ home defense. I can only buy once in a great while, due to funds, so I try to save up for what I truely want instead of just getting something I like that is cheaper. Thank you.
Brian Montminy II That is a good plan. Honestly, I like the HK's quality more than the FNX's. FN makes amazing rifles, but their pistols are not on the same level I think. Good guns sure, and probably reliable, but not built as well as an HK for sure. They just don't seem as tough to me. The 15 rounds are great, but the grip is horrible on the FNX 45. It is up to you, but my gun is the HK45, so I might not be the best person to ask. I will say, you can't go wrong with an HK. USP 45 or HK45. I remember and was just talking about when I had to look over what I want, save, then go purchase it. Sometimes it would take me months to get it. HK's have a great track record, and a great record with me personally, that is why I have 9 of them. With plans for more. I would say, if at all possible, go shoot both of them before buying. Look for a rent-a-range in your area. See if they have one or both, then go shoot them if you can.
navyman8903 ThaThank you for your response. I am going to check with an old friend, gun enthusiast, if he knows of such a place where I can test a gun before buying, although I have not heard or seen of one near my location, ie in state or just outside of my state. I am hoping he may own one of the guns I am interested in, and let me test his. My normal gun store didn't have a HK45 to hold. I am leaning towards that model over the USP (based off looks and function until I can handle both). The grip looks like it would be easier for my wife to hold, whom I love to shoot with. Also since she is a lefty maybe add an ambi safety so we could both enjoy shooting it. I also want to practice shooting and manipulating a firearm with my non-dominate hand.
For pure ergonomics and performance, the Hk45. For pure sexy goodness and nostalgia, Hk USP. I can't wait to get both. I just found a sweet police trade-in Hk USP lefty version for $450.
I like the USP rail better if I am using it without a light. The 1913 rail catches on everything. Tore the waist band out of a pair of boxers IWC with it on one of my pistols.
The ergonomics and being left handed made the choice easy for me: HK45. Aesthetically, I also think it’s a little sexier looking than the USP. In a way, it’s John Wick’s P30L in a .45.
Its funny the hk45, actually the compact was my dream gun. I never good afford it. Finally got older and got a decent job, bought the hk45, and hk45c, qnd sig p220 in the same day. The hk45 made me a fan of hk for life. I finally just got a usp45 and I like the usp more. Something about that classic usp feel. Now if I could find a usp45 compact. I have never seen one available, any where I have ever been. Hopefully one day
I have really looked at HKs until I found your channel. THANKS! Im looking at getting the HK45c $1099 (out the door), HK45 $1099 (out the door), and the P30 $999 (out the door) amd am looking at selling my G19(gen4) with all my freaking magazines. Thanks for passing the bug. I live in a 10rd-tard state so am leaning towards the 2 HKs and it would fall in line with your one pistol platform set up recommendation. Lol...
The P2000SK is a great gun, but if you don't already have a full size or compact duty pistol. A dedicated sidearm, I wouldn't stick with the SK. The HK45, USP 45, and HK P30 in 9mm are all three great guns. I strongly recommend either of the 3. The USP 45 is a solid fighting gun, and has lots of options as far as holsters, and parts. The HK45 is also a great fighting gun. The P30, is a very nice pistol, and is very accurate, but the trigger is kinda long. If you like the SK trigger, then P30.
Just picked up the H&K USP 45. Used, in excellent shape. $600 bucks out the door, with a Glock light attached & 2 magazines. Check them local gun shops out ppl!
Hey Just to make you laugh , went to the first gun shop today all they had was a H&K usp put it in my hand and fell in love. They wanted $1045, but kept trying to sell me fnx 45,put it in my hand ,my option only, no mag in it ,hated the grip and didn't fell at all like the H&K, felt like a toy gun. kept pushing it, so left ordered H&K45 from another shop for the same price get it Friday Or monday, now my only problem get the H&K P30 Or the USP 45 your in put. thanks again for all the great info
I have decided on the HK45! Now the debate is do I get my HK45 twins (the standard black and the full fde from Lipseyes) or the standard along with the HK45c? Thanks for you help.
Year, that's actually the only real bad thing on the HK45- some poeple are saying the HK got a contruction error which can cause jamming errors sometimes compared to the USP.
after watching my gun I have decided on the HK45. The only problem is now i will be trading in my sig tac opps for the hK P30 lol. I'm 59 shot a lot of guns, and bought and sold a lot of guns, the only two guns i regret selling is colt officer bright stainless, and HK40, Just don't like 40, your right on with that.thanks for all the info and let me know if there is anyway to keep in touch with you while your over sea's . Thanks again for all you do to keep us safe and God bless.
Great review, I actually recently bought my first handgun (owned two beforehand but they were given to me by family) and I've shot many but I went and got the HK45 and am in love with this thing!! Its my favorite handgun to shoot and so glad I got it! I still plan to pick up a USP 45 eventually as well as a Sig P220 (not sure what variant yet though). I've gotten to shoot a USP before and its great, but the HK45 was more practical for me being as I'm blind in my right eye, so I'm primarily a lefty shooter. What would be the best tact light/laser sight attachment for the HK45 though?
You absolutely right about the round count on the USP. I brought mine in 2003. I have never missed a month of range time with it and it still run like it's brand new. I've abused it in all kinds of weather, drops, dropped in toilet... You name it. I've shot well into the tens of thousands rounds and still functions flawlessly. It's really exceeded my expectations. Love my USP.
Thanks for the manufacturing info...you are a wealth of knowledge. I picked a used P30 recently. Love the gun, but the trigger is lacking after shooting a Walther PPQ. I still love the P30, so I might have to move up to the big boy 45.
I agree USP all day long. The HK 45 is just a cosmetically improved USP. HK should stick to the USP and ad a rail. It would truly be more than perfection. Excellence in my book .
I would like to hear your thoughts on how the HK45 was introduced in part to be an improved form of the USP.. do you feel that it is an overall improvement to the USP, or does it fall short of that statement made by HK... I have both and absorbs love both.. I am just as accurate with each of them..the biggest difference I see is the recoil assembly and number of rounds they hold.. do you feel overall that the HK45 is an improvement, for both full size and compact??
I'd read a review by a person with smaller hands who stated that the grip on the USP was noticeably thicker. Not sure how small ones hands must be for it to matter, though that is one of my dislikes of my Glock 30. I do like the grip on the HK45, though never handled a USP.
Great video this is exactly what I was looking for. I've been trying to decide between the two for several weeks now. I think I settled on the USP 45 for now, and then I'll buy the HK45 down the road a ways. Is the match trigger kit on the USP still available through HK?
I have a full size USP 9mm standard and really want a USP compact in 9mm, but it’s impossible to find a new one. Would an HK45c be a really close match, mainly for the feel of the trigger trigger and recoil? Excluding the caliber size.
I will say the recoil is a little sharper on the 45c vs the USP9. But not by a huge margin. Both are great guns I've had and shot them both extensively.
@@navyman8903 I like having the same guns in full size and compact. I’m leaning towards the 45c , then maybe later on get a used Usp compact 9 and have both
cant beat the HK line , if you want , i have a spare Heckler und Koch Match weight and scope mount for the USP , even have the usp benchmade no compromise USP knife and H&K Timex watch up for grabs. everything is from the duetch land accept the watch
Great vid, very in depth, my biggest issue with the usp was the rail. I want to put a stream light or viridian laser light combo on the pistol with out some adaptor. The new hk45 allows that. If I could send my old usp 45 in and have them replace the lower receiver, I would never have thought twice about the new hk45. It's a large pistol, so you would have to be a big dude to wear it concealed. Hey is that an Hk in your pocket or are you just happy to see me.
I shot a HK45 at a range while shopping for my second gun. 1st gun was a glock 19 auto ported. The HK45 shot so well. I was amazed with the low recoil and accuracy compared to my glock! Excellent handgun, I will never part with. I was thinking of getting my HK45 auto ported. Do you have any experience with one modified? BTW good video, very detailed and well edited. Good job.
I honestly think the HK45 is perfect out of the box. I'm not one to get one ported, I imagine if done correctly, it would be a fine shooter with that setup.
It is an after market modification where slots or ports are machined into the top of the end of the barrel. This causes some of the gas coming down the barrel to exit upwards which counteracts barrel rise while firing. This allows for quicker repeat shots on target without the need to lower the gun to re aquire the target.
It was explained to me that auto porting is for semi auto and magna porting is for revolvers. Hence I said auto porting because I was referring to a semi auto.
Elliott Butts Here and there. I'll bring the channel up again here soon. I lost most of my old footage and already cut videos I was sitting on. My last computer took a dump. I have a new computer, I need a video editor and I have to start recording more footage. A camera man would help too, we'll see what happens. If you want the link to anything specific I've done in the past let me know. I'm working on a unlisted playlist.
+DevilDolphin Man I don't know where I'd start to list the videos I like of yours. I think one of your best videos was the "do as I say, not as I do" video. You talked about having multiple copies of your fav gun. It was well thought out, funny and entertaining. Look forward to seeing vids again man
I know the HK45 holds 2 fewer rounds, but that grip in my opinion feels WAY slimmer and nicer than the USP in person.
Lol.
Legendary Snake you understand! !
🤣🤣🤣
Back in the good 'ol days when it took five people to exceed a 650lb weight limit on the elevator.
@@cowboypenguin now it's 1 or 2!!!
I agree! I have both the HK45 and HK MK23. The HK45 has the best hand grip ever IMO.
Wow...amazing. Decided I'm gonna get a USP since I already have the VP9.
USP man, don't know why but USP...
XD )
3ndriago Not only have I shot one, and currently own one....I have a video or two with it in there. Here's the review I've put together: HK MARK 23
Awesome! Checking the video right now!
I bought that gun 2 years ago when I was 21. I always love this gun. It's been my Dream Handgun since Growing up.
Aarzu in MGS2 he has a usp45 lol
hello...my name is Anselmo Sanches, I'm police chief here in Brazil, I have a full size HK45, and I love this gun, I'm also a fan of the 1911, I have 4 of them.
Congratulations on your videos, I follow you all
It might be the environment you're in to be honest. I haven't had the issue but you might be getting rubber wet rot down there. Just like tires.
“You’ll never find this gun with this serial number, up for sale ...unless I die.” Haha
Just bought a USP 45 yesterday. can't wait for it to get here.
Great vid!
I want a USP 9. Been wanting one for more than a decade ever since seeing it in Rainbow Six: Covert Operations (super vintage) as a kid myself.
***** just look online, you can def find one somewhere instead of running around
@@MrSmith-zy2bp which one do you like better ?
@@fkrr5 I had to get both. HK45 is more versatile in that it has an integrated rail and doesn't need an adapter or special recoil spring for suppressor use. It is thinner in the grip, so losing two rounds for that nice grip isn't an issue, have an extra 10rd mag or two. The USP 45 is a great nightstand gun. Grip fits me fine, I have large hands, but once again, I'd say the HK45 is more of the multiple role pistol.
@@MrSmith-zy2bp Thanks that's a good comparison. Knowing me I'll probably end up with both too. I have medium hands, maybe I'll start with the HK45
Thank you for the review. Sounds like the USP shares MK23 DNA and the HK45 shares P30 DNA.
One of the best comparison vids I've seen. Good taste in firearms.
Solid points. The USP is what I would call so well built it is over built.
@@ccol009 having all 3, I can't be without any of them. But if I was going to do it again, I would build a rifle for the cost of the MARK 23
My intuition is telling me that the HK45 won’t outlast the HK USP .45
At the end of the day I want a “Go To War” handgun from HK.
Hi guys,
really love the video. i am a hk guy myself.
Another kickass review from the NavyMan. Love the content, brother. You have inspired me to make my next 2 firearm purchases
Negative.
HK45c is the best... just ask the SEALs!! :-) The guys who helped design the HK45/45c have stated that they did not like the final design mods to the HK45 full size... the HK45c went virtually unchanged and is a hell of a pistol. Good vid, thanks!!
I’m partial to the USP as well. As long as it was made back in the 90’s. The ones made today are not quite up to the task like older ones were.
I watched this video like a month or two ago and went with an hk 45 tac lem but after watching and watching I had to get the usp 45 tactical. I should have gone with the usp but I’m definitely not getting rid of the hk45. Even though hk hates the civilian market they know how to make a damn gun
I've got a USP 40. Love it. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
hi my name is jacob and i am a die hard usp fan
i wish these nerds would 3d print more hk style sights like from the 416 but make them cheap and figure out what material will be strong enough for use
grip extensions/sleeves as well
or update the housing on the old insight m6x style lights and make them fit pic rails and take modern rechargeable batteries and electronics. modernized m6x would be so sick on the usp45
While I like the HK 45 you can tell the USP is a tank
I’ve watched at least 10 videos comparing these 2 firearms. Nearly all of them are so close and it’s like you can’t go wrong with either. In a few though, it seems if there is an overall favorite, it’s the USP by a hair.
No. They will not allow you to carry anything that isn't standard issue. It is mostly for those situations when you run out of ammo, your battle buddies can bring you M9 and M4/16 mags so you can load up and get back in the fight. If you have a USP, and everyone else has an M9, after 45 rounds you are dry, your gun is useless.
USP 45. Cause it’s the king.
When I wiped down a new HK45 the white rag had light brown stains indicating rust, although rust was not visible on the gun.
HK45 - 21lbs 6.1oz vs USP45 - 21lbs 8.5oz
The gun alone.. actually 1oz different between HK45 and USP45
Because HK45 (10 round) vs USP45 (12 round. If you not live in CA)
One round of ammo weight is 0.7oz. Two round of ammo weights are 1.4oz
HK45 - 21lbs 6.1oz + 1.4oz = 21lbs 7.5oz.
One of the best gun comparisons I have seen. Well done. I still can't decide between these two, fnx tactical or a Mark 23. Thank you.
Christopher Barger I need a lefty version
Hopefully one day
That's awesome man. You'll find one some day.
Went to gun show last year and saw two used ones. If I recall both were $1,200!
Lol...
I opted for the FNX45 because of the magazine essentially. The Hk45 was nice, to me it is better than the G21.
I recently bought a usp 45 expert with Gary Guns trigger, absolutely amazing!
I think it is working now. It is a long one. It had to process forever.
Great, now I have no idea what one to get. Guess I got to get both.
Just picked up the H&K USP 45. Used, in excellent shape. $600 bucks out the door, with a Glock light attached & 2 magazines. Check them local gun shops out ppl!
They are fine handguns. I am very happy with both of them.
We are considering dumping our Sig 226 R Dak's .40 S&W for one of these or the P2000 (if it comes in .45 ACP.
I have decided on the HK45! Now the debate is do I get my HK45 twins (the standard black and the full fde from Lipseyes) or the standard along with the HK45c? Thanks for you help.
Usp is a sexy gun
Year, that's actually the only real bad thing on the HK45- some poeple are saying the HK got a contruction error which can cause jamming errors sometimes compared to the USP.
Great review, I'm a definite HK fan. I so want a USP, but being a lefty I'm going with a HK45 tactical.
after watching my gun I have decided on the HK45.
Talk g my new USP 45 to the range today. Thanks for all of the reviews!
Thanks for the great info.. I want one or both now... But.. which one first?
I gotta ask, how did you drop it in the toilet?
The CZ 97 recoils really soft. Have not shot either but in videos the CZ looks like it shoots softer. It is a bit heavier tho.
I tried to buy back my USP from a friend..he declined. Side note I do own a USP .40 I purchased around the same time.
Once they shoot it, then it's over. They're so smooth it's hard to shoot anything else.
Thanks for the manufacturing info...you are a wealth of knowledge. I picked a used P30 recently. Love the gun, but the trigger is lacking after shooting a Walther PPQ. I still love the P30, so I might have to move up to the big boy 45.
It's weird that the triggers can be so terrible on a p30 and yet really good on a an hk 45 when they are otherwise almost identical
have you ever shot any your h&k guns with suppressor or just any gun with suppressor and what do you think about gun with or without suppressor
Great video! I agree to what you said... If you can buy both...GET BOTH. but to me...that USP just feels right. IF I had to pick.
I agree USP all day long. The HK 45 is just a cosmetically improved USP. HK should stick to the USP and ad a rail. It would truly be more than perfection. Excellence in my book .
"they pay me to do that"-that's a good line
Thanks for watching, and thanks for the support, I appreciate it.
You must be either an engineer or a bad ass sale person. Awesome thank you
I love these two guns!!! They are my favorite!!!! The USP is like the big brother of the HK45.
The USP compact is always on option for people with smaller hands....still great guns.
It is.I like longer barrel.
Dunno. Please pass it here if you find out. Did you try emailing that question to HK?
Thanks for the support.
I’m leaning towards the 45c , then maybe later on get a used Usp compact 9 and have both
KF USP 45 and ITS NEVER GOING AWAY! Helluva Gun!
cant beat the HK line , if you want , i have a spare Heckler und Koch Match weight and scope mount for the USP , even have the usp benchmade no compromise USP knife and H&K Timex watch up for grabs. everything is from the duetch land accept the watch
Are the holsters interchangeable given the fact dimensionally they are so similar?
No they are not sadly. But the HK45 holster fits the P30L.
Awesome video. USP is next to me at all times.
Hence I said auto porting because I was referring to a semi auto.
found on HKpro!
I'm with ya man. Is there more on HKPRO?
Elliott Butts Here and there. I'll bring the channel up again here soon. I lost most of my old footage and already cut videos I was sitting on. My last computer took a dump. I have a new computer, I need a video editor and I have to start recording more footage. A camera man would help too, we'll see what happens. If you want the link to anything specific I've done in the past let me know. I'm working on a unlisted playlist.

Man I don't know where I'd start to list the videos I like of yours. I think one of your best videos was the "do as I say, not as I do" video. You talked about having multiple copies of your fav gun. It was well thought out, funny and entertaining. Look forward to seeing vids again man
