Instead of going through my own run, I decided to try and dissect all 4 players' runs this time, kind of like a 'replay analysis' kind of thing. This is in hopes of improving my viewers and my own MOC experience going forward as we learn from here, which is something that isn't talked about often enough since most content creators only post the perfect runs.

Something to add: on top of the heals, killing general first = no more mobs which concentrates the MOC blessing on the main target, just my 2 cents 😬

Just want to comment a bit on your comment on Moon's run. It actually was very possible to do a 2-cycle clear but I can understand that Moon isn't a sweaty player. I actually told her that she should not let the turbulence kill the horse but let it live with some HP so she can gather energy for her Sampo before entering 2nd wave. So you were pretty much on point on that part where Moon was trying to press Sampo's ultimate. She could've had that ultimate ready and possibly shave 1 cycle off her run.
I'm glad that you emphasized that "to be fair, you took Ruan Mei and Bronya" from Doggos because honestly, the hate he is receiving is unwarranted. Having you give your thoughts in this matter should calm some people down.
Anyways, GGs! I had fun with this tournament. Everyone did well.

The S5 Lightcone is powerful, absolutely, but that's an additional 120 Pulls of resources for a relatively nominal increase in efficiency for Bronya. Sure, it's strong, and people would love to have it, but 120 Pulls is, at worst, one Standard Banner Character and close to pity on a Limited. Also, considering the 75% pull rate on the Lightcone Banner, it could ALSO easily be 2 Signature Lightcones your other characters. It should go without saying that the first copy of a Lightcone is at least 70% of the Lightcone's power, since you want the Signature Lightcone for it's Base Stats and special abilities, and the scaling afterward is secondary. I could be wrong on this, but I do believe that having 2 more Signature Lightcones on your Limited characters will be strictly better than 4 additional copies of Bronya's Lightcone: I'd venture it's not even CLOSE. So, looking at it that way, buying dupes from the shop should probably be considered Whale Bait.

I think some characters do benefit more from this than others especially for damage dealers. Getting 30% CR from their signature LC is massive and allows for much better build flexibility elsewhere. I for example run an 11% CR gloves on my Dan Heng because I can't hit the 70% threshold without it. I mean, 11% is pretty big, but I'd rather have the ability to get more attack, defensive stats or CD on these gloves than CR, since CR is a dead stat once you cap it out. Which just reinforces the other video Mr. Pokke made about getting signature LC for damage dealers, because they are usually just more difficult to build efficiently.
@@Kamishi845 Absolutely, but to take that logic one step further, most Lightcones that give Crit Stats give 30-ish crit value, either 16% Crit or 32% Crit Damage, respectively. The numbers vary a bit from Lightcone to Lightcone, but what doesn’t vary is that an S5 Lightcone usually doubles the Crit Value the item gives. What that means is that 2 S1 Lightcones are giving you the same effective Crit value over two different characters as one S5 Lightcone! That’s also not counting the unique parts of those Lightcones, like applying additional debuffs for Dr. Ratio’s, shredding defense like Jingliu’s, Energy Recharge like Dan IL’s, so on so forth. For every dupe you get of one Lightcone, you could have FAR more value with a first copy of another signature Lightcone, to an incredible degree.

i wish all four of you joins the competition again, it's honestly fun to watch how differently all of you tackled this MOC, it's insane!
I love the general analysis of everyone's run better since you can see different perspective in whether the run can be optimize or other moves they can do in certain situations
I loved watching both teams and hearing your thought process on all 4 players was really great. This MOC 12 was challenging and I hope they keep releasing challenging content because I find the strategizing and sweaty gaming the most interesting part of HSR's gameplay. I hope every future MOC 12 gets us all a little sweaty to keep things interesting!
Saving Bronya's ultimate did nothing at 17:00 since QQ was in her enhanced state which would have extended the duration of Bronya's ultimate. Basically in the second rotation when he uses Bronya ultimate QQ would still be a 2 turns of buff remaining so imo it was a mistake not to use Bronya ultimate since he could have missed a crit.
Doggos run could have been optimized better by 4 cycles but thats with full hindsight considering that we never would have known if that marastruck mob would have targeted Yukong or not which should bring that to 3. One thing I'd like to point out though is if he used Silverwolf ult on General in the in the 2nd wave he could have potentially killed the general with the turbulence.
Destiny's run was perfect understanding of DoT, Def shred and Break Effect.
Pokke's run had Qingque, Gamba within the Gamba. Just goes to show we're all addicts here.
Dreams run I hope to one day replicate this but with Seele and Huo Huo.

God, as a Sampo believer, watching yours go apeshit is *so* satisfying. :D
I mean sampo stonks are at an absolute high after the "funny bone" god tier video from hoyofair...that video lives in my head rent free.
All in all tho, this was rly fun to watch and also no need to throw hate at doggos...we all know he has a lot of knowledge with all the wonky videos he makes and if he had more options/luck he'd get a way better clear. Let the people have their fun.
I can understand the philosophy of ignoring the general. His healing has no value if he’s already at full health, and as you said, Yukong and SW are mostly there to do toughness damage, so it’s okay if he heals whatever little health damage they did. But I’m still not sure if it was the right play.
I can see the idea too, but its less optimal if u have the capability to burst the general while also breaking the genral, because tbf, the 2 mara struck absorbing the turbulance damage so much. U can guarantee to deal 140-200k to that horse if u manage to burst the general depending on your turbulence stack
The problem is that a lot of bonus damage from Turbulence is wasted on the general, he just heals everything up. Bursting the general should be an optimal move, but if you fail to do that he would basically negate all the damage you’ve dealt to him with the healing. But I believe Doggos had a fair chance at bursting him down with buffed Dan Hengs ult and e (assuming all crits)
Yeah, the problem here I think was he played like we ‘normally’ play, where this would be a good move. But for MoC we got to abuse those buffs for the juicy scores.
It is misleading that everyone keeps honing in on the general’s ability to heal because they aren’t explaining the MoC buff soak that makes it all click. “He’s generating a lot of adds to soak the MoC buff and then heals that chip damage back up - this probably wasn’t the play” would have painted the picture a lot better for everyone.
But this is a new format and they are all learning. I love these things.
attacking the general first only matters really if you have aoe attacks on the team so the spill over dmg isn't wasted by him healing back up. on a team with mostly single target attackers it doesn't offer much advantage, so long as the focus is on one target.
The general drains its own hp to enter the healing state. So you’re literally losing out on extra damage that way.
The Turbulence damage is wasted on him
s5 bronya lightcone with 4 superimpositions bought from the shop is around 120 pulls,, yeahhh i would definitely choose a basically guaranteed unit over 20% extra dmg boost and 8% err (which only ensures a skill skill basic ult w penacony/vonwacq or if she gets hit once without err set). honestly pretty bad advice to give f2p players. its only really recommended for spenders like you since spenders have an abundance of starlight.
Yeah, no matter how you look at it, going for Bronya's LC S5 is a whale move because whales get all units anyway with money, so they can use the currency to make the LC S5.

Once again, saving stardust is possible for those who already get every character anyway using money, just like MrPokke does. But hey dude, if you want to go for S5 of the LC and skip on getting characters, go for it. You are allowed to make bad choices. It's your account 😂

imo another big weakness is his yukong, her ult can at least hit 15-25k on a good build, that can help shave a cycle over time in certain cases. Ofc there's no such thing as infinite resources but a little better wouldn't hurt.

If you had used that Ruan Mei skill in Round One, it might have been back up for Round Two when you were just a bit shy. Not sure because we never saw the numbers though.

I do think Doggos made a mistake focusing down the Trampler. You have to realize the memory turbulence is indiscriminate and in this format where you kinda have to make do with non BIS teams, playing for the memory turbulence is a tried and true strat. Those turbulence procs can be wasted on the Shapeshifter's adds, and if it somehow only hits the Trampler and Shapeshifter and ignores the adds, Doggos is ignoring him anyways so he will just heal off the turbulence damage.
Chat I’m in a dilemma I need pokke’s gigachad chat advice. I need a wind dps should I get blade or black swan. Im at 74 pity, and with the release of pure fiction I actually think blade will shine so I keep going back and forth. I have kafka sampo e6 and lynx e6, I also have jingliu. Will black swan be good in PF? I feel dots fall off in PF but maybe black swan will be aoe focused? Help!
From what I've seen from leaks black swan is very good character and the next PF is supposed to buff Dot

you dont need to 1-2 cycle. you can do 5 cycle and still get everything.

This gameplay shows EXACTLY why sparkle will replace bronya for QQ.
Multiple times, pokke misses out on massive damage, because there aren’t enough skill points to QQ big turn into Bronya into QQ super turn.
You can speed tune so that sparkles 50% advance lets your teammates squeeze between to refill skill points, so you can go ham every QQ turn.
The problem with that is that every teammate that squeezes in to generate SP is also drawing a tile for QQ and making it more likely that she gets a full hand early and misses out on a big turn. It's a very difficult balancing act: take too many turns and you run out of SP and don't get a full hand. Take too few turns and you get the full hand too early and don't get to spend that SP. And it's all RNG so you can't plan out the perfect rotation; all that you can do is play the odds.
I’ve seen leaked gameplay of Sparkle with QQ e6, and she still suffers from sp and rng problems. It also doesnt help QQ due to the fact that Sparkle is only +1 sp.
To do that sparkle will have to be double qingque speed and even so the additional sp when you squeeze won't even be that good since that's more chance of getting 4 of a kind early.

Argenti's character design was originally gonna look like Mr.Pokke but it was to sexy so they changed it
The strat of letting the General live is fine on Paper, but doesn't work with this MoC effect. That was the biggest issue I think, since now GodDoggo had 3 extra targets absorbing the MoC hits, effectively negating it. Focusing the general would have taken down the adds as well and caused all that leftover damage on the Effect to go into the Horse and Kafka respectively, optimizing the damage output. Any MoC buff that didnt randomly damage the enemy side probably would have been fine with this strategy.
This is also compounded by the fact that HuoHuo was on the team, dispelling almost anything Kafka could have thrown at the party with ease. The team itself was great and basically tailor made for this side of MoC, just the targetting was off....
At the end what does ddd mean?
well if the general wasn't attacked so he didn't lose hp so all that healing is wasted kinda and doesn't matter.. when the other enemies are down then he can easily focus fire and kill the general before he heals
I counted the healing ticks from the general and he healed around 110k hp. But yukong buffed wind pen Dan heng ult still outdamaged that. So all the healing that the general received got payed back and then some
But the effective damage done is less because he heals a ton
