the most impressive part of all that was the bit when you took out that keyboard and made the Doctor Who foreground music. I was so impressed, you got it almost exact!
LOVE THIS PART! 0:52
I want FL Studio SO bad
Fiber Silkington ik I’m late but there is a free trial and it’s the same features
@@akmedia8206 you cant save
oh for god's sake, Gallifrey stands!
Galafrey stands from the 11th doctor
Gallifrey falls no more!
Allonzy!
False. Gallifrey sits. 😈👹🧌
much like the '86 theme
1:48 best part
OMG That's some aweome work. I can't believe you used a virtual Juno! I have a real Juno 6 in my studio but the arpeggiator's broken. I spent ages trying to get *that* glide sound just right on my microkorg, got it eventually. Just needs some noise filter sweeps over the top and it'll be perfect!!
Nicely done! I like how the sounds becomes more and more similar to the original.
can you put a mp3 link for this thing you made?
Oh my God!!! This is what ive been looking for!
OMG THIS IS SO CATCHY THIS SHOULD BE THE NEXT THEME SONG
Agreed.
It was the the fifth doctors intro
this is incredible!! your version of the theme is epic! good job!
It sounds like the Howell melody put with the Derbyshire bass
That was absolutely amazing. Honestly I wish I could do that. Absolutely brilliant. I love watching the making of things. Well done. I found it soo interesting and just so...EPIC :D xx
wow near the end it sounded soooo coooolll
Thanks for your comment. Yeah, I did base it on Dominic Glynn's theme for Trial of a Timelord. Virtual/Computer synthesizers can be very useful if you want to intricately plan something but to be honest, I'd prefer a real synth as I like to have knobs to touch (hey!). That's why I'm saving up for a Nord Lead 2X.
Be nice to hear the fully finished version of this😮 I love it
I just use 3xOsc with just the first oscillator for the lead (with loads of echo, of course). Ends up sounding a lot like the original version of the theme by Delia Derbyhire.
Thanks RUclips for sharing this good work in 2022 ✨
That was really cool.
you fucking nailed it on the thremin segments
sorry but what instrument played the high pitched frequency variations
or was it done like the video shows all on the same rack
leon Brierley the original 1963 Doctor Who theme's melody was made with electronic oscillators for testing audio equipment.
Peter Howell's 1980 theme, Dominic Glynn's 1986 theme and Keff McCulloch's 1987 theme used synthesisers for this (ARP Odyssey, Yamaha DX21 and Sequential Prophet 5 respectively).
For more information, see dwtheme.com/derbyshire/1963/
wow thanks so much I'm going to check this out
+Josef Kenny I am a huge fan of doctor who u should go to BBC Doctor Who and do that theme song
It's hard to see the setting you are using and I want to get the minimoog V plugin I have to sound the same as yours. Can you screenshot the settings and message it to me?
Amazing job on this one :)
Nice work on the theme. Sounds almost exactly like the '80s theme I remember from watching Tom Baker on PBS when I was a kid. :)
I just realized that I have almost the same exact Juno 60 emulator (I have the U-No 62 plugin by the same author), and I downloaded it specifically for my own Dr. Who techno/trance project. I mean what are the odds of that? XD
Yeah, its very versatile and made well. I use it more than any other virtual synth at the moment cos its easy to program.
DOOWEEOOO

I really like your versions of the theme.
1:47 nice bassline!
Great, interesting and complicated 👍
Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.
THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!!
now, can we have an MP3 of the completed version? YOU DID GREAT!
Add a tiny bit of feed if your playing off an external keyboard it adds a bit of echo and really bulks out a flat tune a bit also the vocoder is an amazing tool when mastered I have to be honest though my laptop is dead and I'm rusty I've not used flstudio 9 for long while over a year
Mmmmmmm an american gotta love the 80 sounds
I love this version omg
This guy is my hero!
Doctor who this should be the next theme song
This is actually pretty good!
Doctor who is so good and cool I have 3 movies of doctor who

Idk why but I would always watch this video when I was younger lol
I give this a 10/10
Brilliant.
that is pretty cool!
Dude this is amazing! HIRE AND PROMOTE THIS MAN TO BBC DOCTOR WHO THEME COMPOSER AND WRITER/MAKER.
Can't really recreate this, got the TAL UNO-60, yet I can't get it to the right setting..
This is one of the best Doctor Who themes ive ever heard is there a full vereson any were?
ratsouffle You should read some of the stuff written by Danny Stewart on the second bassline layer.
And also, listen carefully to the Delaware theme, and you'll know nearly all of the theme off by heart.
As Nine would say: "FANTASTIC"
LOVE. SQUARE. WAVEFORM.
This is great stuff to see how it could be done in the pinnacle of the Cyber era. I would have to say that you are doing a good job on recreating the Peter Howell but is spicing it up a little. I have actually downloaded your full rendition of the song and is considering placing it on my cell phone for me to listen to it. and Harvland1 I see that you don't appreciate the work that has gone in to showing how this wonderful master of music has produced this masterpiece. Shameful.
Cool theme well done
yes, he should do so!
6:16 is my favorite part of the video of the theme song
DOCTOR WHO is Awsome
this is amazing
Where can i download the finished version ofthis? Unless you didnt save.
+Descael Just go on clip converter.cc,copy and paste the URL and select "RUclips to mp3"
OMFG. That was awesome, and it turned out awesome! :O
erm I would understand this a lot more if u shown the qhole screen at the same time and shown us what synth you are using
Awesome
Hey, Joe? Are you ever gonna put up the track you were making here?
look back way in the first few comments and you'll see that that is what he based this theme on.
Wow... Dude your awsome u earned a like and favorite.
If you show this to bbc they will flip
At 0:46, it spunded as though you were just about to play the Saints go Marching In :)
I can't help but hear it now!
@ratsouffle
You forgot some pretty important parts. For example there's this high-pitched whistle, or whoosh, or sting, that leads to the start of the bassline. And then there's another bassline, a lower, swooping one, usually there to add tension. You don't usually notice it because it's REALLY low, but if you take one of the arrangements of the theme from the classic series, load them into an audio editing software, lower the treble and amplify the bass, you'll notice it.
project file?
No more dislikes in over 2 months. Awesome.
Great video, been trying to work out how to do dr who theme in fruity loops. Can you tell me how to get aturia minimoog into fruityloops? Thanks
11/10

wuts that sound at 3:40?
awesome tut ratsouffle :D
genious
Fucktastickly awsome
there is the tal uno 60
i love it nice job
Sylvester McCoy ❤️ nice job
question, how do you learn to play the piece? I have been practicing for a while now, but i just can't get it down.
Shockszzbyyous can be achieved by listening to the tone several tones, matching it up with your keyboard especially the bass line and then practice the sequence of the chords in that order over and over until you master it.
this is so awesome!!
Just relax and set the flow...
No!! Just reverse the polarity of the nutron flow!!! XD
Sweet
yeah sounded like 1986s trial of a timeloard theme
yes, FLP please for remix would be great
6:14 -8:11 should be the 50th anniversary theme (minus the metronome).
In the description :P FL Studio 6 (made by Image-Line).
Amazing work! Well done :)
I'm a huge fan of doctor who
Do you need to tell us? But okay, since you've done it, so am I. I've watched 116+ episodes :)
