I don't know how much you know about Show Me the Money or who these people are. For you or anyone else unfamiliar, SMTM is a hiphop competition show where hiphop artists compete to show their skills and get mentored by some of the best hiphop artists and producers in the korean music industry. Sometimes it's pretty cringe because the average korean often doesnt understand the nuance of what is hip-hop vs what is blackness and how to appreciate without appropriating as the culture has little to no diversity. That isn't the whole story of the scene but I think it's important to acknowledge and be aware of before going in to watching the show. Otherwise this is where you find some of the best hip hop artists in korea and is always a great place for new songs and artists to discover every year. Moving on from that FYI, This is one of my favorite seasons. I love this track it was my most played song of 2021 and just felt so good to drive around to on a nice day with the windows down. Just a positive and motivating vibe. JUSTHIS is the guy who started out the song and was one of the mentors (there was one producer duo groovy room who made the beat as well) of this team. the rest are independent and underground artists who got to the finals. there are a few other tracks by the other teams and mentors that are great imo but this one had the most replay factor to me. If you guys are fans of hip-hop and lyricism JUSTHIS is one of THE BEST in korea and is often compared to a korean eminem apparently. I don't speak korean though so I can only take my korean friends words for it when it comes to the deeper nuance and double meaning of his lyrics in korean. He has a dingo killing voice that I'd love to see you guys react to. It's a compilation of him performing some of his best and most well known verses live and also features an extra freestyle. He's sick and Korean rnb and hiphop has a ton of amazing music to offer. Also, as someone who is always interested in the hardships of modern society and learning more about different cultures I always find it really interesting to listen to/read the lyrics of different hiphop cultures because I think it's a real honest look at the most real and raw parts of any culture because I think hiphop is especially honest in a way pop music could never be (though I love pop music too).
