    Do u have any tips on getting the air intake hose to fit snug onto the engine air filter box when putting everything back?
    Im having a hard time getting the intake hose to fit flush onto filter box

      @@simonl3788 make sure you unscrew the metal bracket far enough so it doesn’t apply any pressure at all. It happened to me that I thought it was loose enough but I couldn’t push it all when I realize it was still tight.
      In addition, you can put a very thin layer of silicone paste to help you slide it in.

      ⁠@@gotitdonei did unscrew the bracket loosely but ill make sure to buy some silicone paste i used some bedroom lube cause its all i had but i dont think its working 😂

      @@simonl3788 try this… remove the metal bracket altogether. Now try to see if it fits. If it doesn’t then it is the wrong size

      @@gotitdonethank you, also do u know if Permatex O ring Lubricant would work in substitution of silicone paste? My local autozone does not have an industrial silicone lubricant

      @@simonl3788 it should. You just need a very small amount to make it slippery

    My 2014 Honda Civic has bucking and I've seen videos saying this is the problem can I use duck tape for the time being till I get paid ??

      @@Damiann209 yeah, but it won’t be a tight sealing because of all the grooves. And there might be cracks that you are not seeing.

    What socket did you use to remove the bolt that connects the air intake hose to the air intake box. The smallest I have is 8mm and even then that was too big

    followed this, throttle body, map/maf sensor cleaning. my intake hose was torn in two places, one towards back couldnt be patched with duct tape. car doesnt hesitate anymore, smooth acceleration. i stripped a maf sensor screw but was able to just clean it attached.

      That is awesome to hear! Great feeling when you can fix your own things. Have you replaced the PCV? It should be done every 60k miles. Very easy.

      @@gotitdone seems like at least for 2015 civic, removing maf sensor after pulling out the air cleaner box is much much easier.

      @@butterfury I did one 2015 this weekend and I felt it like the same process.
      My case was that the ATF plug was out for a while and fluid was all over, so I had to clean all the area. I had to remove the battery and air box to have good access. And of course I cleaned the MAF.

    So how has it been? It looks like it's not oem. Just wondering if oem vs aftermarket for this specific part make any difference.

      @@jeddrickpablico7352 it had been perfectly fine. As long as the air is confined within it and it doesn’t crack you should be fine.
      When I do the maintenance on my car, I also apply a little of AT-205 to all the rubber parts to keep them elastic.

    Thanks for the video! am having a hard time removing the maf sensor plug. Do you have to press the center of the plug then pull it out or just pulling it out? Any special tools required?

      No special tools. You do have to press the center and while keeping it pressed you pull the whole plug out.

    All great except exposed battery terminals. I always keep few plastic terminal caps in my tool box, because having bunch of sparks or car fire is not fun

      Depends on how handy you are but I would say an hour and a half. While you are at it, clean the throttle body and the MAF sensor. Check my other videos for that.

    looks like these engineers need to have their licenses taken away, dam nightmare on all these models and years and the plastics and interiors turn to cracked dust or rubber glue after a few years... Engine is great and durable but everything else goes to 💩 lol
