I have seen a few extractors and this is by far the most stable one

Congratulations for the concept. It would be very useful if we could see the connections inside the potentiometer and also the wire diagram between the battery, the motor and the potentiometer. Thank you in advance

G'day Ric, you mention in your video about following your progress but you don't have any other videos about this extractor. I am looking to do the same and just as you had, found a motorised scooter and now have that same motor. I assume you are using a simple coupler from the shaft of the motor to the shaft of the frame holder, but can you tell me how you managed to get the small cog off the end of the motor's shaft? Normally you would pry it off the end after removing the C clip but mine won't budge almost as if there is some adhesive there. Before I get too aggressive with it and possibly affect alignment of the motor shaft, thought I would ask you. I am pretty much doing exactly the same except I plan to use a computer power adapter which is at 19v or use a standard 12v adapter which we all seem to have lying around from something that used to work. Appreciate you getting back to me. Cheers, from down Mornington way.

Hi Cotteeskid, I dont remember having a cog on the end but if there was i probably just used multigrips. Try soaking it in penetrating oil overnight. You can find a shaft coupler on line and they come in various sizes for each side of the coupler. The most important thing is to make sure that the machine is well balanced or it will pull itself apart. Cheers, and all the best with your project.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I picked up a nice piece of 304 stainless steel to mount the motor on and with the 3 mounting points should make it pretty sturdy. will make sure it is aligned properly. Thanks again.
