It's Dec. 17th, 2024 05:35AM, around a year since I first gave this song a listen and watched this video. I remember it was the Winter/Holiday season of Modern Warfare III playing on the Christmas version of the Highrise map, I had Spotify playing Destruction of Us repeatedly all at the same time on the PS5. Video games, film and other mediums with lots of action in overcast, rainy, snowy, cold, etc settings while listening to certain alternative music like this song is such a strong vibe for me, man. The combination of it all has unlocked such a strong personal epiphany for me. (It's no wonder Spotify Unwrapped lists it as my 3rd top song.) Guys, every time you feel strongly about something for the first time, take a descriptive note of it - you don't ever want to forget how to reproduce those satisfying feelings as much as possible when and if you need to.
This video made me want to go and give Blade Runner 2049 a second chance to watch start to finish. I loved it and can't believe I gave up on it the first ten minutes the first time.
