You should study the Human history of ancient language, and communication, and how it has evolved over time, and learn to appreciate it. It has always been "necessity" that drives change in life. We all come into this world on a basic level of existence, until our parents install the "necessity of change" in our lives through their first teachings, and our lives are changed.

The "necessity" was not there to drive the need to develop a better way of communication among the tribal peoples, who did not develop a written language, or evolve beyond a basic existence.
