This worked for me too. My generator has not run this smooth in recent memory! Thanks.

Thanks for showing how to increase the RPMS. Needed to increase since the switch from propane to natural gas. This should fix the low voltage issue for me.

Went though this with a 8 kw natural gas model and in the end it had a tight exhaust valve. Smoothed right out after that.

I have a 7163 15kw and the ac output is too much for my Aimspower 12kw inverter/transfer switch. Will this procedure work with my generator unit to lower the power

Excellent. One question : how can I fix error code 1200 over speed in a 22kw Generac generator.

Hi. My westinghouse 12500 is no idle when u put load on it. As soon I take the load off like my ac or anything rpm go to the sky . Basically with out power rpm are high with load rpm goes down

What happens after you put the load? that's the important part, governor adjustment under load. please!

Its just me or the throttle was in a close position, to open needs to pull the spring arm compressing the spring, I think.

Governor is not your problem carburetor you've got the primary jets that have stopped up and that's what surging it take the carburetor off rebuild it clean the Jets make sure all jets are clean thoroughly and no blockage in jet holes so run like brand new again your primary kit is also your idol that's what surgeon

If you watched the video or done any work on generators with a governor like this you would know you are flat out wrong. But since you made this comment I see you didn’t take the time to think.

I just watched this and said to myself this must be what it's like to watch me work on the electrical side of a generator. Lol you have a fuel issue my man. That engine is now running lean and hot. It will eniviatbly lead to engine failure.

I'm from Phillipines. Recently, our privince was hit by a super typhoon Odette internationally known as Super typhoon RAI. Our province is in total black out for almost 3 weeks now because of the damaged cause by the typhoon to our mainline electricty towers and posts. Someone has given me a generator but i still have to bring it to a mechanic/electrician to make it work. I learned that the generator is 230 volts with 50 hertz however in the philippines we use 60 hertz but with the same voltage. Do you think i can just adjust the rpm of this and make it 60 hertz? By the way the model of the generator is changfa ced6500s. Thank you

You can certainly raise the rpm to get 60 hertz. But I’m not sure if the voltage will require a new regulator or not
