Facts on keeping monkeys as pets. All monkeys are born with wild animal instincts!
The babies are pulled from their mothers as early as newborn. As monkeys grow older, they become aggressive, stronger and more unpredictable. Most owners will attempt to change the animal's natural behavior. These tactics include confinement in small enclosures, chaining, shocking, beating, removal and filing of teeth and constantly cutting nails to prevent scratching and biting.Macaque monkeys do not smile, that is a fear grimace, and a sign of distress. When they are in the wild they also fear grimace for submission in TroopHeirachy.When a macaque lip smacks that is not talking and being happy. It is a social behaviour in the wild that can result in more friendly interactions amongst troops.It also can be seen when babies are being weaned by their mothers.Mostly submission with a higher dominant troop member. In an attempt to establish dominance, monkeys will attack their human family. Once owners realize they can't handle the animals, they dump them or they disappear. Once monkeys reach sexual maturity they can become even more dangerous. "Primates are wild animals".No amount of surgical methods (Neutering and mutilation)training or beating will ever change that.
Sedatives would have to be used which causes the monkeys to be calm and sleepy.Long term sedatives use can result in withdrawal when the monkey no longer has them.Withdrawal can be erratic behaviour, running round in circles, and manic behaviour such as they are unable to keep still. Trying to keep them as pets, owners can be creating a mentally disturbed animal.The monkey will struggle to fit in any monkey troop environment if at all.They do not know how to get along with other monkeys. More often than not, they will end up with a lot of behavioral traits that can be self-destructive. Many holding their heads in their hands,twitching themselves for comfort, rocking and biting themselves.The sucking of the penis especially in males is too self soothe after being traumatised.Sucking of digits is a sign of being separated from their mothers.Not many monkeys in the wild do this.Depression and torture has a profound affect on these monkeys.They are social monkeys and need to be with their own kind. Zoonotic diseases are also a concern. Human cold sores can kill monkeys.While macaques can carry herpes B (potentially fatal virus to humans) most people get infected through bites or scratches from them.Monkeys have an incredible healing power, they can heal very well with just saliva.And overcome breaking of bones. Eye drops are not needed.Talcum powder put on a baby monkey causes burns and pain.Creams and lotions make them itch and uncomfortable. Constant baths takes the natural oils out of there skin which leads to skin conditions.They need these natural oils to live in the wild and deal with climates. Pacifiers are not needed they are hard and unecessary, causing distortion of teeth.They will constantly cry until comforted when looked after by humans. Gloves or socks forced on their hands and feet to stop them sucking them. The reason for constant bathing is they smell like wild animals do. Dehumanizing them through rehabilitation in a proper environment can take years. Some end up in zoos and sanctuaries due to being unable to cope with life in the wild. As beautiful as they are they don't stay babis for long annd soon start showing wild instinkt. They can live up to 35 years. Monkeys age are like humans!

Он уже избалован и показывает свой характер. Ещё чуть- чуть и сядет на шею. Одна женщина, жившая некоторое время в Азии, писала, что из таких маленьких вырастают монстры, которые могут отвоёвывать территории целого дома, что даже хозяева боятся зайти в дом. Они только маленькие милые и умилительные....А потом должна быть жёсткая дрессура и своё пространство в виде вольера/ клетки. А в целом, их выбрасывают на волю или( как некоторые пишут)сдают на корм крокодилам. На воле их быстро" приводят в чувство" соплеменники, там не побалуешь, будут следовать правилам стаи или их загрызут на смерть свои же.

Monkeys attack people with bags, purses etc. They are selfish, does not share food. I think they only truly show love to a dead baby monkey. They carry the dead monkey around until it dries up. I know God made them and after HE made everything HE said , “It was good”. I can’t see the good in a monkey. They do have beautiful eyes and that’s it for me.!

Viewers were giving advice from their hearts saying how this monkey was being abused, how to look for signs of stress, and what is the proper way of feeding a bottle to this monkey etc.
My point is that their comment was pretty much moot because the video took place 3 years ago. The people probably don't even have the monkey anymore.
