Tony, you naughty boy. Why didn't you "fix it," and allow that Merc driver to push in, and drive how he wants !
The reality is that merc driver just went behind him. It's pretty insignificant, and you not letting him in probably won't teach him to have a better attitude. So I think it's pointless. You might as well just let that person in for the sake of minimising risk.

Me too. Plenty of those round my neck of the woods. But you also get the reverse of that quite a lot. What I mean is cars that stop 8-10 feet short of the Stop or Give Way. No idea why they do it - they can’t see as well and when they do decide to go they use up a lot of the gap they are trying to get into moving up to the line. I find that odd.
@@davesouthword1298 I think what they do is (and feel free to check me on this) is line up the give way or stop lines with the end of the bonnet.
The driver in the Range Rover had probably forgotten they were in the car and was unconsciously thinking "I can't get my great fat arse through there!".

Good on you for not letting the prat queue jump!! If someone is accidentally in the wrong lane, indicates and doesn't try to bully their way in, I'm happy to give them space. Be a bully and I will do everything I can do legally to prevent you. Had a guy pull out and turn left in front of me (USA here), I maybe missed his rear bumper by a few inches and I didn't slow down. Hope he needed new underwear!
I have a picasso C3 witch is invisible too I had a run in with a Merc on Saturday and came out on top yes.
I've got a bright red Xsara Picasso and it really is invisible to German car drivers, it must be something to do with the last war where the Germans ignored the French completely and did what they wanted regardless of the consequences🤣🤣 it's amazing that 80 years on that still applies.

I get that with the people from the left pulling out nearly everytime when I am leaving room for anyone coming the other way to turn right into one of the out of town shopping areas - I sometimes think I need a big illuminated sign that reads "THE GAP IN FRONT IS ONLY FOR CARS TURNING INTO THE CAR PARK".
I'd have lost it because of the shitty road surface too.
I was a passenger in a vehicle and a broken down car had the same problem, my driver had mecanical knowledge so jumped out to assist, turns out it was a broken earth strap, so lost all power ,including battery power.

I used to be a driving instructor. USED TO BE. What I remember, turn in the road as it was renamed . You are never meant to do turn in the road on main road. Meant to find a side road to turn round.
Hash markings with broken line. The rule I was taught, is it safe and is it necessary. If solid lines. Never enter.
Cradle for phone, not sure. Should be OK as same as touching anything that's located on dash. Heater, mp3 radio.
Look forward if anyone has clarification on phone in cradle..

Every time I have to drive, I feel that my nerves are shredded.
The highway code is quite clear: only pull out from a juncton if it safe to do so. That includes looking in both directions.
You hit the nail on the head Tony, some drivers THINK they're more important than anyone else on the road and they're typified by German car drivers. Now, it's not all German car drivers but it's enough of them that everyone else gets a bad name, as my grandad used to say "if you throw enough shit some of it'll stick."

No the flashing lights are NOT hazard lights. Cars are fitted with those lights so that drivers can park on yellow lines and other places they shouldn't park, blocking up the free passage of other people so that they can go and do their shopping, make phone calls etc., without getting ticketed. Back in the days when police used to enforce parking restrictions we used to call them: "Come book me lights".
0:44, I have to comment on your saying. I am from the Netherlands. During my car theory exams I made only one wrong answer from all the 70 questions. The question was:
Your car broke down and you are standing in a bent of a road. Do you have to put on your hazard lights? The correct answer was: no.
Because; A broken down car can have a faulty/empty battery and then you can't (!) put on your hazard light.
So, he has to put down his red warning triangle behind the car at a certain distance.
That's ridiculous - might be nothing wrong with the battery.
I thought it was made mandatory a few years back for new cars to have a breakdown kit 🤔
The UK is different from the Netherlands so please refer to our highway code when commenting. I'm aware yours is better though in many regards and we should probably adopt a lot more of your practises here.
@@CDBC it was a question during the official CBR driving theory exams in 1994. So, by law, you do not have to put on the hazard lights because when you can't, you can't. But you do have to put the red triangle behind your vehicle when the hazard lights do not work. And also you do not have to have vests, the triangle, first aid kit, etc in your vehicle. But it is wise to have the triangle with you.

I recently installed an old smart phone as a dash-cam and already it has become clearer that SPEEDING and LACK OF SIGNALLING is rife.
My coach is 8'6" wide and 44' long. How these flowers drive those humongous Range Rovers is beyond me.
manners and common curtsy should be apart of driving lessons. I was taught that if you can’t see you don’t go. My instructor told me drive how you have been taught and you’ll be fine and I have maybe these people have been taught badly. Great videos ❤
I know what you mean, I passed in 1976 we were taught how to drive, the difference now is they are taught how to pass the test, there is a big difference, I think that is part of the problem now, the rest is just idiots.
@@johndilloway9762 I’m a late driver I’m 45 n I past my test 2023. I believe teaching of driving have changed too because I was taught to put the handbrake on at traffic lights but there’s other drivers that were taught to go into neutral at traffic lights.

Every time I watch these they get more entertaining and funnier, I’m just so surprised at how some people ACTUALLY have a licence these days. Even down to the simple things, like looking both ways at junctions. You just think to yourself where are they actually looking, and what they are looking at other than what they’re supposed to be looking at! Each video I watch of these, it makes me remember what stupid things that drivers do on the roads so I won’t come unstuck!!

I noticed that bus was going somewhere called Preston. I had to look that up because the only Preston I know of is in Lancashire and that's the only one Google Maps knows of as well. Seems it's just north of Tadworth.
Just for reference, Preston is also an area of Brighton.

I can never understand when people break down they just sut where they are, if you have battery power select 1st gear and use the starter moter for propulsion and get off the road to safety.

If her battery was flat because they have been on a while i could sorta forgive that, (thats happened to me in a dark north yorkshire country road) but even then get out of the car to somewhere safe.

Ambulances dont always use blues and twos when on a call. And that nugget of info actually came from an ambulance driver himself so they may be on a shout but dont feel its necessary to tell the world

If they are not using their blues, other drivers don't know to give them their special emergency priority so it isn't safe to do that manoeuvre without the blues. Also, this driver you mention, did they by any chance stage what kind of call they run without blues on? Is it by any chance a "non-emergency" call that means they don't need their blues and hence don't get emergency priority?
They tend not to run blues when transferring a patient to hospital, who isn't in a critical condition. It just makes for a smoother and quieter ride for the patient, but they obviously still want to get there as quick as they can.
Without blues, they don't have emergency priority, so they shouldn't be acting as though they do. A non-critical patient does need to get to hospital quickly but it isn't an emergency so the driver can afford to wait for a gap. Would the ambulance be waiting at red lights in this situation and if so and the driver went through the red without blues on, do you think the driver would be prosecuted? I think they would and if the situation became a critical emergency, then they would turn on the blues and go like hell but without them, other drivers will not be ready for them to do these kind of manoeuvre, hence it is unsafe and could lead to a crash, making the non-critical patient critical, don't you think? If you want to prove me wrong that ambulances can do this without blues, find me a reliable internet source you can refer me to.
Frequently, within something like 500m of the ambulance station, they won't use blurs & twos. If they did, properties near by would have constant sirens.

As a matter of fact, the fact that he didn't use a blinker, means you definitely at first should think he's going to turn right, since you can only see the right blinker quite late. But you barely slowed down for the roundabout at all. What if he did want to turn right? At the speed you went through, you couldn't have stopped to give way. You had seemingly no intention of giving way.
How that translates to "being your fault he's not indicating" is some insane mental gymnastics to me.
