I don't see any Reason why Japan can't give an Expressway like this just a Motor/High/Freeway status. Literally nothing comes too short in comparison with European and American Highways. Also 100 km/h speed limit is just too low for a high quality highway (for me) as this one. 130 km/h speed limit already will be better except for parts where there are a lot of tunnels. (which usual that there is a lower speed limit.)
People drive at 120 km/h, speed cameras go off at 130-140km/h, police enforcement is non-existent.
Also, speeds are lower, as car travel isn't reaaallly encouraged.
I spotted 5 american cars here.
So are there any regulations about keeping to the left? I see cars overtaking on the left, and staying in the middle lane even when the left lane is empty. In Europe, that would land you in trouble.
Japan also has regulations about kepping to the left, but not many people keep the regulations. So sometimes happen to trouble.

It's sped up. You can tell from the sudden lane changes, the hyperactive windscreen wipers, but especially in the last few seconds where you see people walking.
